thats brilliant man... ive a live performance as part of a uni assignment coming up.. very inspirational.. do you create a track like you would normally, then work out how to perform it live?

cool track.. the acid definitely works with the ambient pads - very nice.. i like the drums and the pace of the track but you should definitely layer more percussion, it has potential to be so much bigger, if you want it to be

i always assumed 'big beat' bands/artists like the chemical bros recorded acoustic drums and resampled..

thats an amazing song.. great melody.. love all the sounds, but maybe a bit too much reverb over all.. could be punchier if some parts were drier?? maybe not

yeah i get that it isn't meant to progress anywhere.. but when i hear pieces like these, that have a great soundscape i always wish there was a chord change and a melody to bring it to life.. guess im just not one for minimalism

in most cases, each part of your needs its own space, so just think logically.. to give the bass its own space, eq most of the low freq out of everything else.. if ur arps or drones or pads are in the low mids, ur lead will need to be played higher etc.. simple and for sounds that share the same fre...

cheers man.. i actually like the bitcrushed snare. I had planned on turning it down a little just. Im quite new to drums in general, so the concept of eqing the kick hadnt even came to mind.. cheers for the advice ill give that a go
