Re: Raffle for minimoog signed by Gary Numan
I have to admit that at times, I have sort of scoffed at the Numan worship that is happening in the world, especially in England. On this very forum, I have at some point done a lot of eye-rolling about it. But when I found out that he was coming to Mountain Oasis, I had a sort of revelation about h...

Re: Raffle for minimoog signed by Gary Numan
Yeah, I'm in. $20 for a 1/1200 chance? I can afford that gamble. While you´re at it, you can also enter the Yamaha CS80 raffle I´m about to hold on Christmas Eve this year. 20 US$ will get you a ticket, but you will have to organise shipping yourself. If you wish, I can have my neighbour sign the C...

Re: Raffle for minimoog signed by Gary Numan
To raise funds for BMF? After all, his autograph would make it even more attractive for people potentially interested, wouldn´t it? Why else would they boast that "it´s signed by Gary Numan"? Um... yeah! As you're plainly unaware, let me tell you: The Bob Moog Foundation, proud participant of Moogf...

Re: Raffle for minimoog signed by Gary Numan
No, this is not Gary Numan's Minimoog, nor was it ever stated that it was. If you come to the conclusion that it is his, despite that it has never been stated that it was, you have to ask yourself "why would I assume that a rockstar would sign his own Minimoog?" The Minimoog was NOT Gary Numan's Min...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?
I spent a good bit of time with one yesterday and was blown away by how much functionality you get in such a tiny box. Not only that, but it sounds great too! Am I the only one who senses some difference in tone between this and the Minibrute? Mini always seemed so metallic and harsh. I never once ...

Re: Money Mark's Minimoog Trick
Ugh. I'm kind of tired of people complaining about people discussing opposing views. Forums are FOR discussion. If everyone agrees on everything, forums are POINTLESS. They are specifically FOR discussion. If you don't like people disagreeing, or people making opposing viewpoints... YOU are the prob...

Re: Money Mark's Minimoog Trick
Amazingly, I agree with everything sweep said to tekkentool in his last post. I saw the Moog documentary when it came out. When it came out, we all hoped it would be basically the video version of Analog Days, and it wasn't. It was actually a documentary about the man who is Bob Moog. We wished it w...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
I'm not a big HAT GUY. I like my hats lower.
The point is that you have the ability to adjust the relative volumes of the instruments to your personal liking.
I think the kick is pretty loud, too... but I can turn it down to suit my taste.
As for volume... turn it up.

Re: 10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager Gift
Dear Sweep, If you'd like to start a thread about what an asshole Marc Doty is, feel free to do so. I'll be glad to respond to it. The only place anyone thinks a "fiasco" happened with the BMF is on that thread on the Moog Forum. Which is apt. With love, Marc Doty P.S. Feel free to go to the Moog we...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
Man there's a lot of negativity aimed at Korg for the delays... Well, the Delay is really crunchy and gritty... definitely lo-fi. But I find it pleasing for that reason. I think it really suits an analog sound. I think if people were just... Oh, that's not what you meant. Yes well, while we're on t...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
I'm sure millions of people have heard the 700 he used but do not realize it. Yes. This. I guess you don't realize that we are saying the same thing. (Also... I mean, seriously... you must know that I know these things. It's my job. I've read Bob's own notes regarding these orders. I'm pretty sure ...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
'Cause I like drum machines. I'd mess with it a bit, see what it can do, then probably sell it on. Just my fun. I can afford to do so, so why not? And, being something completely different from Moog, I'd like to see what they do. And no, I didn't buy the guitar because I tend to hate guitar synthes...
