Re: Will Kurzweil release a new workstation line ?

Really wish they would have put sampling in there. That's the reason why I won't sell my K2600 for one. The PC3 looks nice though. I think the PC3 is a good move to have a updated K2600 with the VA-1 in it, instead of just a VA-1. Most big studios will have romplers and VAs and it nice to have it al...

So is this deal over, or when does this offer end?

Re: virus ti snow and the rest of virus ti series

The real question is what is the difference between the black TI module and 5 octave keyboard to the white TI 3 octave board and the Snow.

How do you get 25% off ebay? Does this site pay you the difference.... That's silly.

Re: virus ti snow and the rest of virus ti series

I think the Snow is nice deal of a synth. If you want keys, get the keyboard, otherwise I think the Snow will prove to be a good bang for the buck without compromising anything. You do get less knobs, but the interface looks very nice. You can always control over USB from your computer or knob box.

Re: Best FX Processor for Synths

Well, one thing I've learned is that when you haven't heard some great FX units, you don'd miss them. Until 5-10 years later you realize your old effects sound like c**p once you finally buy a good quality unit. Get an Eventide H3000 and you'll never have to buy another FX unit again if you don't wa...

Re: taking your moogerfoogers out...

I don't know, I just saw the band ohGr the other night and they had a LP and a Moogerfooger - sounded like it was the Ring mod one. And live, it sounded grrrrreat! The LP sounded pretty dang good. But it looked even sweeter. Man is that a gorgeous design.

Re: Favorite synth sounds

I've always liked the Vox Humana patch from the Polymoog. BTW, anyone know the parameter setting to recreate that patch on another synth?

Re: New Andromedas are here

I think they only do one production run per year. It would be nice if they would keep making them. I'm sure every batch sells out. An OS update would be nice too. But I'm not holding my breath. I would love for Numark/Alesis to release an "Andromeda Lite", or at least a rack version. A rack would b...

Re: Favorite "dirty" synth?

Seriously, for something to compete, someone would have to design something new with the idea of creating a pissy unstable b***h, or a tough tooth 'n nails blood 'n guts bastard to be more aggressive then the evolver. They did. It's called the "Wretch Machine". And that will pretty much conclude th...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

Have you tried patching the LP into the XS or is that not possible? I was thinking of possibly (not yet because I don't feel a need to get it) getting a Moog 107 to go along with it. Almost thought I would, but so happy with the XS, it has killed most all my GAS.

Re: Novation Situation

I bought the KS5 having heard the Nova and it has been a great purchase. I bought mine for $850 close to when they came out and still think it's a great deal, funny enough being that the prices a re a lot less, which actually intrigues me. Because I really like the feel of the keys on it and the mod...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I noticed some XS units being sold and am quite shocked because this thing is like a staple. It's such a great synth.
