Yeah, another +1 for microkorg and electribes. Maybe I should keep hold of my EM-1
How about the AN1x?
Hey, looks like I have a classic synth collection already!!

Hi,
Have you tried the JayB an1x patches? They're mostly trance-oriented, but they do show off the an1x's sounds nicely.
Get them here: http://jayb.ath.cx/Sounds.php#AN1x
There's a demo on Youtube:

MIDI wouldn't be any problem at all, even with current-version stuff. It's a P-M 900MHz; get a small external and you can easily track audio with the thing. The eee is a sweet little machine, I just wish it was closer to the price they announced it for. There's a lot of people using it as a portabl...

Since the EEE is preloaded with linux, how about trying seq24? It's a minimalist midi-only sequencer. There's very little fluff to get in the way. I've been looking at those EEE PC's myself thinking they'd make great little sequencers. I believe an upgraded model is due out in the summer with more m...

Another microkorg vote! Previous to that I only used software synths. I was in two minds between the mK and the alesis micron - at the time I was looking for a compact/portable synth. I'm glad I went with the mK... I think I considered the x-staiton too, but I can't remember why I didn't go for that...

I couldn't do without my AN1x, so I'd certainly get another. Other than that.... a groovebox or sampler of some description - electribe or MPC I think... and I'd add in some analogue - a MEK or an SH101 would be my pick of the bunch. Plus, I do like the idea of getting a 25 key xiosynth to go alongs...

I've been playing around mostly with software for rhythms, etc but recently I dusted off my EM-1 and found it to be much more fun than clicking and dragging stuff around a computer screen. I like the immediacy of pressing buttons and changing the pattern on the fly, and generally tweaking stuff live...

The ER1 phase modulation drum synthesizers are clearly a part of history already but one should think that the groovebox market isn't quite dead yet. I'm wondering if Korg might think the traditional groovebox format needs shaking up? I can't see them *not* bringing out a replacement product for th...

new electribe from korg would be sweet.I would like a bumped up version of the ER1.With more outputs maybe like 8 and be more like the roland tr and jomox stuff with better compression and wicked live features. ER-909 then :) I wouldn't be surprised if any new electribe would be both sampler and sy...

Electribes discontinued?
I read on the Korg Forums that electribes have been discontinued... anyone heard anything else?
I wonder if there's a new tribe waiting in the wings.... with built-in kaoss pad perhaps, and an SD card slot!
