Can anyone give me a valid reason as to why I should buy something here that has already had tax paid on it, and then have to pay again to a country that I no longer reside in? They can go and f**k themselves. I have earnings in the UK that I still pay tax on every month.... even though I don't liv...

But the ATC-Xi has a switch on the front to change from standard to a Moog like punchy envelope. The other differences are that the Amp is stronger and brings out more character imho. Also instead of a Triangle wave on Osc 1, we get a SINE wave!!! Awesome! Not too many new analogs have Sine on them...

Tom I see you have a pulse how does the ATCX and pulse compare I have a Pulse and an ATC1 (ATC1 v similar to ATCX Just no distortion and external filter carts..) They are very different sounding. The ATC sounds 'rounder' and sweet-and the filters are very smooth and squelchy. Very 'American' soundi...

Now, I have too many options. Actually, I'm thoroughly convinced that buying a Nord Modular is what killed any creative force I ever had. After I got that, all I wanted to do if find the perfect beep. 7 years later.. I still haven't found it. I play with the m-er f'er all day. lol I know exactly wh...

Yeah the Akais do look nice. Id still check out the Novation SL series with their Automap features--Im pretty sure they are the most delux on the market-I use one and its good. It has tons of knobs and sliders and 8 pads. But importantly its much more intelligent than regular Midi controllers.....it...

I had an SE1x, but thought for the money-The ATC1 with Moog filter would cover all my squelch needs-for almost half the price second hand these days. And it sure does-I prefer it over the SE1x-it has better envelopes and even tho the SE1 had more knobs-you inevitably had to quickly delve into the me...

you might not have access to a few settings From what I understand-most of the real synthesis goes on in the editor-these only 3 FM synthesis knobs on the top. Also you need the editor to transfer DX7 patches. I'd wager 90% of folks with one don't even bother with the editor All the more reason to ...

Its a question I have been pondering myself for the same reason recently..... To be fair if you want a nice analogue poly synth which is modern enuff to have full MIDI with velocity the choice appears to me to only be things like: Prophet 08 (Im saving up...). It has tons of knobs that send MIDI CCs...
