Anyone own a Q?
Whats the onboard step sequencer like in multi mode? It looks interesting on paper however I've read the sequencer was glitchy on release and is tricky to use in multi mode but details are sketchy since v3.02. Is it a powerful tool that can be used live scenario or an awkward extra that you don't te...

Huh? Wouldn't that set-up cost as much as the Machinedrum? Have you ever used the Machinedrum? Thats my point getting more for your money with something that can do the same if not a lot more although the parameter lock feature has me intrigued more than any other element of the MD but is it really...

The AN1X is a top buy plus it also doubles as a good MIDI controller and step sequencer. As far as sound goes most decent softsynths surpass it in terms of analogueishness but having so many features in one unit is what makes the AN1X fun although I don't think I could live with mine without using i...

I'm not sure how chaining several Pulses would be affect the MIDI lag on the last unit but I suppose it depends on the type of sound your doing. I think the Basstation and Voyager also have this feature. I've tried it with two but not with five 8)! The Q+ has the same filters as the Pulse so I think...

I heard the Orb wanted to do this back in the day but the organisers or the event didn’t want to clean up the mess.JSRockit wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_notehfinn wrote:no bass has ever made me or make me want to s**t my pants.

It's a good synth..For what it does. So... What it does then? Is it usable for ambient/experimental/DEEP BASSES? I think it would be nice for leads also, am I correct? Let's say I definitely am not looking for realistic sounds, so that does not matter to me. Only good leads/basses. Oooh my first an...

Better still don't buy a TB-303 or a clone, grossly overated peice of kit Better still don't talk BS about something you have little knowledge or interest in. A Mobius retails for 350UKP and a Revolution 450UKP which has a slightly better sequencer and is only 100 squid more. Tony's kit shou...

I think its the ability to use a credit card on paypal and the price of the dollar compared to other countries thats crated this hiked market kinda like clueless rich folk buying precious art just for the sake of investment. Back in the days before ebay you had to have a big wad of hard cold cash re...

The Yamaha AN1X is a bargain on ebay these days, it has onboard FX, EQ, step sequencer, arpeggiator and is good for a main MIDI controller with decent quality keys and aftertouch. The interface isn't the best for programming but you soon get used to it and there's lots of hidden depths to explore wh...

Leftism was a landmark which finally made the music press take dance music seriously and distance the 'quality' prog house sound from the cheesy bollocks hardcore had become and camp handbag c**p. I think they used the usual Rolands like the 909, 101, Juno and 303 and I did see them use a Pro 1 in a...

Not a mod but try putting it through a bass compressor pedal to emulate the c**p mixer section on real 303 although it was Tony who told me about this element of the 303 sound so he's probably incorporated it in already. Please let us know how Tony's baby fairs up. :) I almost got one myself but the...
