Re: Kraftwerk - The Model
Nice cover OJ, i think the voice is fine, of course you could have done it in Ralf's original deadpan voice that he has. When you go into the instrumental parts there is something missing which is the Vako Orchestron choir (low in the mix), but of course these are just little details, perhaps you co...

End of the line for the ASB ?
I have heard that Sonic Core has ceased all production of their ASB's, and what they had left have all been sold off. Also they are not sure "IF" they will go back into production again.

Re: What will be the best synthesizer....
If we're REALLY lucky, there might be a new groovebox to replace the MC-808 but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Can't see Roland making another Groovebox, the MC-909 was buggy as h**l, they never ever fixed the buggy OS it had, even with V1.23 update back in 2007. And the MC-808 that was just pure plas...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
I quite agree, the Mk2 units are 2 years old now, Elektron have had ample time to develop something new, these videos and other things they have announced prove that Elektron is just pissing about and wasting time, when they could have had a new product out by now. Hope this is worth the wait though?

Re: Analogue Solutions TBX-303
I'm sure originally it was designed with a sequencer but for some reason (cost?) they didn't carry that through to the production stage. They? you mean him. Tom Carpenter of Analogue Solutions never had a sequencer in mind for the TBX, it was designed to be driven from an external midi sequencer, b...

Re: Roland CR78
from the looks of those photos you have an early version of the CR78. The 2 CR78's i used to have the board was labelled on the underside (brown side). you will have to read the schematics (page 24 i think). the cluster (4 trimmers grouped) are for the cymbal (see yellow and grey wires). the other 4...

Why not just detune a bunch of SAW waveforms with a quick attack and fast release

Re: Roland CR78
one of the outputs is a seperate out for the bass kick, the other one produces no sound! Turn the CR78 upside down and take out the 4 screws holding the unit inside the wooden box, once you have done that slide the metal housing out backwards and have a look to see where that socket is wired too (t...

Re: Tips for making original and creative music with synths
Stab: While 20th Century notation has continued since it started in the 20th century, the application and usage of that sort of notation, as well as the learning of it and performance of it, is relatively rare compared to modern recording or traditional notation. It is beautiful and complex, though...
