Re: 3-inch CD'rs?
I've ben thinking about making my own CD to promote some tracks and possibly sell (at lowest possible cost) here on VSE. I've got 2 tracks that I know will be on the cd, and possibly 2 more. I want to put them on those cool little 3-inch cd's, but I'm not entirely sure what CD'rs to get, as some se...

anyone know of where i can get a free maximizer vst, was looking a the BBE Maximizer but a wee bit costly, or do you suggest i check out KVR as the usual suspect place to find a free one.
not usually one for using software plug-ins, but now using them mixdown and mastering.

Uwe: Most european gear now just suck. Stick with japanese for build quality and reliability.
Wonder if this asshole knows that japanese build quality is all nearly plastic now ?

Re: A Great Big Pile Of Acid!
I wonder why there is a note called H instead of B on the Acidlab Bassline ? Silkscreen error maybe ? There is note "H" in german (and polish) notation - it's same as B. In that system, B is used for B-flat. Aah yes, i see what you mean, thanks for clearing that one up :) yum yum for some reason, I...

Re: Organs with Analogue Synths Built-In?
Oddly enough no one has mentioned the Eminent 310 Unique, the dutch built organ with the famous solina string ensemble sound. Released somewhere around 1974. It also had the distinct Orbitone speaker system. Made well known by Jean Michel Jarre for those phased sweeping string pads on Oxygene and Eq...

Re: what age did you get into synthesis?
age 14, a mate's big brother loaned me a copy of Tangerine Dream's Rubycon on vinyl, from then on i was hooked, first synth was a Yamaha CS-01, followed later by a Juno-6 that belonged to the school, as they had just purchased a DX-7, so i got to buy it from them very cheap

Re: New Elektron Gear?
The MnM took me two years to really get into... it is a hard machine to get your head around and learn to work with IMHO. You have to adjust your work flow instead of it adjusting to your workflow. Seriously deep machine, that doesn't seem so deep when you first get it. Not a diss at all... I'm sti...

Re: Where does this drum loop come from?
It's an AKAI MPC-60 , Coldcut use loops and samples, so it's likely they sampled the drum break from Jarre's September. Jean-Michel Jarre: Roland D.50, Fairlight CMI II, III, Synthex, AKS, Oscar, EMS Vocoder, Dynacord ADDI, Cristal Baschet, AKAI MPC-60 : drum programming and percussions on 'REVOLUTI...

Re: Leaving my gear in the hands of my movers? o_O
Can you drive Alex or have friends who can drive? Maybe you or them could hire a van and move the stuff yourself, without having to worry about the movers handling your gear. Will save you in dealing with their insurance company should any damage occur during transit.
