Re: why don't synth manufacturers just make the old synth?

If Acidlab and Jomox can make money with 303/808/909 clones, I'm quite sure Roland could make money off brand new re-issues. Roland could, but they won't. They just don't make those old parts anymore that they used in those machines, besides it costs a lot of money to set up a production line for t...

Re: Just dropped off my Roland VP-330 and there sat a CS-80

VP330's cost top $$$$ these days, nice catch for 40 bucks, despite the amount your gonna have to pay to get it repaired

Re: TR-909 vs. TB-303

I'm quite sure there are a few more clueless people with 303s in remaining in this world. only clueless when they can't use the sequencer or program it properly, and i'm sure there is still many a clueless guitarist who has one stuffed in the cupboard or attic space unaware of it's potential. the 3...

Re: The Elektron Machinedrum Thread

That's the problem with people and the MD, they slate it before they have even scratched
the surface of the machine As Breitt said be prepared to spend a few months with the MD
at least to get the best out of it, then things will come to you more simply and creatively.

Re: Monomachine

ah, I didn't really believe the MnM could sample, but also I was under the impression that the term "custom waveform" refered to imported snippets of audio The MnM cannot sample, you need create a snippet of audio, prob about 0secs long and no longer and you use the C6 program to convert that audio...

Re: Monomachine

woot? how did I miss that part? so, you could, ina sense, say the mk2 it's the MnM UW? or is there a difference betweena "sample" and a "custom waveform" that I'm unaware of? putting samples in would definately be crazy.. The two new machines added to the DIGI-PRO section (MnM MKII only) are DIGI-P...

Re: The Elektron Machinedrum Thread

The MD or UW version can be much more than a drum machine, for that fact synth sounds can be made as well like Bass, i've even managed to make a TB-303 like low bass as well warbling sound effects and other noises. It really shines with the added sampler, it's impossible to keep your hands off these...

Custom Waveforms.
Cheers...So you can put samples in..?

Yep what he said, your own custom waveforms, but the new machines that
are also added to the DIGI-PRO section also offer up a lot new possibilities
within the MnM.
