anybody else get the little april fools pack in the mail from elektron? as you probably guessed the sfx-6 was just a little april fools joke. even though alot of people, including us, would love to see a new version of the keyboard it's simply not in the cards. thank you very much for playing along ...

nice - know you had yours serviced by someone to take care of that, but any idea how it was gone about? i'd be a little timid about messing with mine, but if it was something simple i'd give it a shot...

One thing to note about looping on the DL-4 - the loops decay over time. Its not a true looper, in that sense. ie- the first loop you record gets gradually quieter and quieter. I wish that weren't the case. The DL-4 is an incredible pedal. I've never used a pedal and had such instant, varied and aw...

your 808's like new, wiss - how do their claps compare? that's one standout difference between mine, my 909's clap is huge in comparison...brighter & more full. might just be my 808's being a little worn out though. edit: not like that's the only difference, just the one i'm i guess kind of annoyed ...

Of course they're grounded, otherwise you'd pick up all sorts of stray noise. Maybe you're confusing the way some pedals switch through the sleeve of the input TS jack with grounding in some way. we should start pm'ing so you can educate me on this. i'm decent w/ audio but am still very new to elec...

no thanks, EH sucks a*s. I like pedals that still work after a few years without any effort from me. EH does make some classics, but i'm not sure about their new stuff. picked up a holy stain, very cool idea for a pedal and the reverb's great, but the setup for switching between its other effects s...

you sure about that? i have a fuzz pedal that requires a grounded source to its input for it to cooperate, and it didn't when i tried running my EM-1 or revo into it.

it's a line level output just like a guitar. That's just plain wrong, guitars aren't line level they're instrument level. really? what's the difference? and what's "instrument level?" guitar's grounded, keyboard's not...any other difference? not finding an "instrument level" definition/description....

it's a line level output just like a guitar. shouldn't have any problems w/ them unless you go running a speaker output from an amp into them. power supply is a different issue, you sure you're talking about them having signal specs?

also this should be in the help section...

xibalba and i have been ranting about delays lately...looking forward to what he thinks of his incoming echo pro. never used the RE-20, but have had a ton of delays (104z, RE-201, vortex, MO-FX, DD-5, etc etc) and my DL-4 is one i'll never want to take out of my guitar rig. its looping and morphing ...

i'm decent w/ using computers but not so much w/ their insides beyond switching parts... how is it that computers are AOK w/ however big a HD you put in them (or link them to) but this audio gear we're talking about is not? does it have to do w/ the audio gear's OS programming? ie "number showing up...

older gear vs. newer, bigger CF cards...

could've put this in help, but it is a sampler topic... anyone know anything about CFC implementations? in the manual to my repeater it says, "the compact flash card (CFC) use the standard FAT (DOS-like) file system using the FAT16 standard. current type 1 CFC implementations peak out at 256 MB. rep...
