Re: New Future Retro product coming.

They could shrink it, but the more lights the better. well YEAH! agreed :D i don't like the one row of 16 steps. i like to have the matrix so you can see the entire pattern at a glance. i'd take one either way, but if it would cost considerably less to reduce the unit to one 16 step pattern (...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

The fact that it's standalone is appealing to me, plus the Electribe sequencing is awesome. I don't understand how it's trying to combine anything but a sequencer, and I would totally be all over that if it came out. agreed. heck, they could even shrink it a bit more and toss the arp to save some m...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

It's not a re-release of the 777, so go ahead and get rid of that idea. If you want a 777 part 2, look to the XS. ew, no way. they share some similarities, but not enough for me to think of the XS as a 777 replacement. for the record, i wasn't really holding out much hope at all that the product wo...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I'm working on something with the 777 right now, but I always tend to drift into a certain electro-acid realm with it that I'm trying to expand upon. I'm eyeballing a Rozzbox right now to potentially replace the 777, but I'm having a huge internal battle deciding if that would be a good move or not...

I'm not so sure you're in the minority here. The XS didn't seem different enough for me to replace or add to my 777.
well good. :D

havin' any fun with that 777 lately? yours has always been one of my favorite setups. remember those THREE Mobius sequencers you had?!

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

Not sure why people would get so excited about an overpriced monophonic sequencer that will probably only be able to sequence a single synth are you referring to the Mobius? $399 wasn't too bad, considering all it did. I'm speculating that this new product will be similar to the Mobius but more exp...

that's what i meant by the + :D
ah.. excellent, then! i'm on-board.

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

i'm puttin' my money on 777 r2. i'm almost hoping it's not, 'cause i will buy one, but i don't know where the funds will come from! that happens, think it'll be short run like the 1st? i'd way rather it be an XS+ than a reincarnation of the 777. i know i'm in the minority here, but i'd much rather ...

Re: a few questions about Auralex and its ilk...

foam factory's way more affordable than auralex... been looking, glad divineaudio pointed them out. i know, but i'm weighing cost vs. performance, and i think buying the base materials and making my own bass traps will likely cost less than even the foam factory stuff. we shall see... thanks for th...

Re: a few questions about Auralex and its ilk...

thanks you guys. i've decided i'm going to build my own traps, but i don't know when i'll commit the time, space, and expense. for now, i'll just live with the problems until i can do things proper (hopefully very soon). i want to just go with something prefab, but the cost is way too high.

Re: Supernova II, really worth 1k?

i've always loved the sound but i've never owned one personally. check out shaft9000's videos on YouTube for some excellent examples of what it's capable of. the thing is so dang versatile.
