yeah, that thing's messed up. my Ion's output is at least on par with my other synths, if not a little bit hotter. and it's not noisy at all.

Sure! It's in the FILES section of the Yahoo Electribe group: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/electribe/ You'll need to join up as a member there to access the files section, though. i'm lame. i've been a member there for years, since 2005. how could i have missed this? anyway, thanks! if i fi...

might you know if the service manual is available online? i've been snooping around for any of the 'tribe manuals to no avail.

well, the cheapest synth i ever bought wasn't exactly the best, but here's a short list of some nice deals i've found in recent years: synths/controllers: Casio SK-1 (x2), $1 each Casio SK-5, $3 Roland HS-10, $40 Roland MC-307, $75 Yamaha SHS-10 (x2), $5, $8 Yamaha CS-01, $20 Kawai K1-II, $15 Alesis...

yeah, please do. all i've created so far are a typical electro/trance unison lead and a choir patch. just starting out with the basics. the menu is a little obnoxious to get around.

thanks folks! Ya gotta love GooGone and 409!! I wonder why people feel the need to trash music equipment like that? I've never wrecked my stuff even if I didn't like it. Always tried to keep it in decent shape. Sometime dusty but not messed up. Excellent score and cleaning job on that! i often wonde...

Yeah... It's blast to play. In many ways, its the great unsung vintage-digital board. I paid $75 for mine, and now feel that I overpayed! I haven't spent a lot of time programming it because I've been insanely busy with end-o-term nonsense, but I did have some fun making strange noises when I first...

yard sale Kawai K1 II: going from sad to glad...

picked this little honey up today with its original power supply (!) for $15. the guy selling it wanted twenty, i countered with ten, and we met in the middle. it looked in pretty good shape upon first glance, but then... i got it home and plugged 'er in. the display lit up, but there was no text on...

That's what it seems like on the Behringer website.
Anyone know?
well, it's Java-based, so i'm guessing it'll work on a Mac (if those can run Java applications -- they can, can't they?).

i have that editor as well, it's pretty nice. most of the time though, i just use the BCR's inbuilt learn function to assign the functions i want.

using MIDI-OX to receive Sysex from my Monomachine...

a quick one here, folks: i'm using MIDI-OX and its SysEx utility to backup the entire contents of my Monomachine. i've sent 4 separate dumps of the same data and each one is different from the last. only two match in exact file size, and those fail a file compare at the 25% mark. is this normal? i w...

hey, what about one of those sub-bass harmonizer thingies? maybe they can add a little on the low end and round things out?

i'm just guessing, i've never used one. i always wanted to play with one though.

a majority of the vocoding was the mk, which is a tubular little voco machine. I really got my moneys worth from it, using it to make any sound I really wanted for a few years. i've got one. i really like it, though i don't use the vocoder very much. it makes me miss my old MS2KB. but yeah, it's an...
