smallest and cheapest (midi) TEMPO-SYNC delay unit?

subject line says it all. i've got my Ion running into a Midiverb III, which i mostly use for a pinch of chorus and delay, but i hate fiddling with the time knob to get the echoes to sit in-tempo. i'm the polar opposite of an effects-snob -- i don't care much for realism, so i'm not concerned with o...

forget the ARP thing. i was referring to the 20 microKORGs. that sounds way cooler to me.

i'll third that. when it comes to programming, i have ZERO patience for cumbersome interfaces, and i find the mK to be a breeze to work with. the grid menu and knob action takes a little longer to maneuver than your typical knob-for-each-function machine, but it's still completely logical. a desktop...

how many tracks are you wanting to sequence, and what sort of resolution? if you're doing real tight 4/4 stuff, i highly recommend a Korg EA-1. two tracks of up to 64 steps each, and hey, it's got a synth in there, too. $100 will often get one home (used, of course).

i ought to check this stuff out considering i'm not getting any use out of our Wii remotes. SMG's the only game i've played in the last year.

It always amazes me the number of people who sell gear within a week or month of getting it. i go the other way. i get something, spend a month or two learning it, realize it's not working out, spend the next 6 months trying to like it and using it occasionally, decide i was right all along and ren...

i balked for while for the same reason: wait, you want me to pay at least as much and possibly more for the CONTROLLEr than i paid for the SYNTH?! but let me tell you, it's worth getting over that way of thinking...b/c for the combined price of the two you get a synth that excels in so many ways th...

this was right around the time i started disliking Smashing Pumpkins, but i always held a soft spot for this song. i always figured this song was done on some General MIDI box, by the sound of it (so plain, so unremarkable, which isn't to say it's a bad song at all!).

i'd rather wear the SH201 and JP8000 as snowshoes, and just backpack with my SH-32. :?

Quasimidi 309: LOVED the sound, but hated the sequencer. To someone used to the Korg Electribe boxes, the layout of the 309 was deceiving. i find this interesting. i'm a big fan of all of the Electribes, and i've always been curious as to how well the 309 would flow with them. i've considered a "bl...

didn't like: Roland Fantom-S. bought this on a whim, and it wasn't for me. it does have a ton of great features, but i guess i just don't work this way. why the heck do i still have it? someone trade me (seriously). Roland D2. this is that funny synth DJ toy/tool that had no keys (similar to the SH3...

well, keep in mind that both of these synths hold their value pretty well, so if you decide you're not in love, you can (most likely) sell them and get back what you paid. also be sure that if you do choose the Ion or MS2000, you need at least a month or two of actual hands-on use before you can rea...
