Re: Shipping Boxes for Keyboards
If you're in the US, ULine.com sells boxes for shipping keyboards and guitars. I take larger boxes and cut them down to whatever size I need.

Re: Yamaha VSS-30....wow
Love this old "gear photo" from the 80's! Is that a flugelhorn perched between the VSS30 and (what I believe to be) a Casio CZ101? Chuck Mangione would be proud. :D That's just a regular trumpet. My friend did have a flugelhorn, though, and was a huge fan of Mangione, Maynard Ferguson and Herb Alpe...

Re: Yamaha VSS-30....wow
One of my best buds had one back in the 80s and it has to be the easiest and most fun sampler ever made. I always liked the overdub feature being able to layer you voice or whatever. Someone should make a pro version. Our collective gear in 1987: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x30/zudio/Old%20St...

Re: New to synths
What are you wanting to use it for? Korg MS2000 PROS: quite powerful, virtual analog POLYphonic synthesizer with motion sequencer (allows you to automate some "knob twiddling" CONS: only 4 voice polyphonic, digital - not analog (not a total "con") Arturia MiniBrute PROS: Easy to use analog MONOphoni...

Re: Roland JSQ-60 sync mod?
I'm not tech, but I would imagine that would require rewriting the software.
You'd be better off with a MSQ-700 or just getting a DCB to MIDI box.

Re: Non-stock LinnDrum samples
Why should I have to pay to reprogram my own corrupted EPROMs? I shouldn't be allowed to download the BIN files for free? Explain...you pompous a*s. That's all part of owning vintage gear. I've spent thousands of dollars repairing my vintage gear and will continue to spend money on the upkeep. Beca...

Unless I overlooked them, I don't remember ever seeing any free downloads on Forat's site.

Re: Non-stock LinnDrum samples
Forat wants money for 35 year old samples that have been free to download for decades?! You've got to be kidding me. What a bunch of assholes. Ah, another entitled person. Forat owns the rights to Linn Electronics. If you want the original sounds, you're going to have to pay for them. Otherwise, ju...
