I found his phone number on a resume he had posted online somewhere and called him - or it might have been his email address - I've slept since then

Re: Anyone know the voltage and polarity of a garfield nano
Unfortunately, my computer crashed Dec. 2013 and I lost everything from 2011-to Dec. 2013.

Re: Anyone know the voltage and polarity of a garfield nano
According to this photo I found, it looks to be 4V, but doesn't specify polarity. You might try contacting Dan Garfield. I contacted him a couple of years ago and bought a NOS Modulator from him, but I think his remaining inventory has been purchased in bulk and he doesn't really want much to do wit...

Re: TR-808 Fill-In
Just like with the CR-78, you have a limited number of fill-in patterns that can be used with all your standard patterns. I usually make one of the 4 fill-in patterns just 1 measure of rest except maybe a kick and cymbal on step 1. So while you're in pattern play mode, you have one of you main patte...

Re: TR-707 as midi controller?
I'm pretty sure it only transmits the MIDI note triggers when the drum machine is running. Pressing the 16 instrument buttons should not trigger MIDI notes.

Re: Foreigner 4 - "Urgent" sound - Help!
I think he's talking about the portamento chord that comes in at the chorus. Sounds like filtered square waves to me.
Also, Michael Fonfara is credited for "keyboard textures" on that song, although TD is credited for "Main Synthesizers" on the whole album.

Re: Who can identify this synth sound?
Sounds like a single oscillator saw wave through 75% low-pass filter with little or no resonance.

Re: Yamaha Reface
After looking at the Reface again, I think they might be "SHORT" keys instead of minikeys.
The KX5 has keys that are the same width as a normal keyboard, they're just shorter.
I guess we'll see soon.

What is a "triolet wave"?
What part of the song are you asking about?

The rim shot must be PROGRAMMED and played back by the drum machine.
You can download the manual for free at www.RolandUS.com
Here's a video I made a few years ago showing how to sync a MonoTribe to a TR-626.

Re: CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS SYNTH IS???
That question was asked a couple of weeks ago on the "Synthesizer Freaks" FaceBook group. Not sure if there was a definite answer.
Could be Moog, but does kinda sound like the ARP Odyssey bass sound from Herbie Hancock's "Chameleon".

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread
Walter Ego bought my RZ-1 from me last week. quick pay and great communication. I sold so much stuff on eBay last week, I forgot this was a VSE deal and forgot to comment here.
