it's still in the early, early stages. my feeling is that it'll be different & unique by the time it starts taking shape although i don't necessarily see midi in the future for it since there is such a resurgence of modular systems that it can integrate with and really nice MIDI-to-CV boxes.

Studio Vision Pro was my sequencer.... i should just have a blanket "f**k you Gibson" pic at my disposal anytime i hafta think about how they killed the best sequencer.... DP these days.

i'm actually thinking about the Minimax, not the Arturia... that one i've thought sounds a good emulation.

my focus is totally modular now, i'm debating starting a full 18u Buchla 200e vs a giant hybrid'd 66u dotcom/modcan. the benefit of selling-off some gear!

yes its almost there, but no it isn't there, and there is a noticeable difference when you isolate the two together

i think the arturia actually sounds like a minimoog, but i don't think the KLC sounds like an MS-20.

dave smith said that he made the Mopho because he wanted to do something new rather than make a modern Pro One (the 1-voice Prophet 08). that said, i'm sure another keyboard will roll out within a year. i'm hoping it's new rather than another Prophet.

oh, this thread is actually pretty much exactly right... A to B to C to D had happened, they were both logically working towards E using the technology of the day- i.e. NOT a room full of vacuum tubes. it's sort of like when people ask for a synthesizer design book that talks VCO, LPF/BPF/HPF, VCA, ...
