Before changing them, you can try to clean them. Deoxit (from Caig) does a great job. MG Chemicals contact cleaner is very good too. OS X is Unix-based, solid as a rock and bulletproof. i use my machines for music, video editing & design (Adobe CS and web design). plus, they run everything these days, including Windows.

they seem really different to me. i only use my Mono/Poly as a mono synth, so 4 distinct oscillator voice architecture over 1 oscillator architecture totally separates them to me.
