I didn't like automap, mainly because I could do everything without automap, and it just got in my way till I disabled it

What about just getting a 16 input audio interface?

Do you need to use them all at once? or just dont want to muck around plugging things in all the time? If the latter, you could build a 16->1 patchbay

yeah, as long as the maximum power being drawn doesn't exceed the amount the transformer can provid
(usually measured by watts for transformers)

Ahhh... I was gonna order that power supply myself, but jaycar was selling a suitable transformer for $49

ESX sample load/read order!?

I am wondering what samples are sorted by when you look at them on a smartmedia card in the ESX (Ie: load->wav->the list that appears here (also applies to the list of load->all->this list as well, and the rest I presume..) I would have expected samples to appear in alphabetical order.. but instead ...

.esx file needs to be put onto the smartmedia card, then on the esx go to global, press shift+16 (load), select ALL (press 16 again to select, use encoder to change), select the correct esx file..

I suggest you download the manual as well..

As for human voice, actually all these text 2 speech applications do a decent job, and Vocaloid isn't complete c**p either. As far as I'm aware the only ones that don't sound like robotic imitation humans are sample based sets (the most advanced having phonetic samples, or sometimes combinations of...
