Re: Elektron Machinedrum sequencer question

I dont own one but from what I know.. (if im wrong someone correct me)

you can do most of that.. the only parts i'm not sure about are slides between notes (like the 303) and also the polyphonic sequencing/being able to continuously hold notes for a long period of time for pads/etc.

Re: How to get rid of Key Click / Popping noise

yeah sounds more to me like the oscillator is not synced so that the wave always starts at 0 amplitude on keypress.. this will produce a click and it will be more noticeable when there isn't other frequencies competing with it (ie when playing a low sine wave).. this is standard in all synths that d...

Re: Waldorf Blofeld Keyboard paint peeling

wow that all fell off? that is crazy! I'd say there would have to have been some kind of either environmental or physical factor that caused it.. maybe bubbles in the paint, temperature like above said, it getting banged hard against something, inconsistencies in the paint/application... maybe there...

Re: Well, so much for the BCR

I've owned 2 BCRs, both worked 100%.. and I know of plenty of other people who've never had an issue with theirs either.. I'm planning on buying a 3rd (and 4th if i can afford) and I'll bet money on the fact that it's gonna be fine.. sounds like you got unlucky.. the second one is really weird.. to ...

Re: hardware midi grid sequencers

This is why I'm building my own sequencer based on an arduino mega.. the prototype is only 4x8 but once I've proven myself I can do it, I will be scaling it up to 8x16 and switching from single-color to RGB Also including encoders + screen + function buttons.. which are the things I miss on monome/e...

Re: Waldorf µQ Power Adapter

yeah.. if the one you have is 12V AC, make very very sure you don't buy a 12V DC power supply I always thought the microQ had a 12V DC supply but if it says AC on the label then that is what it is *edit* OK now it is interesting... Do you have the keyboard version? Because the rack version according...

Re: Waldorf µQ Power Adapter

yeah just get a 12 Volt AC power supply that can provide at least 1.2A.. more amps is fine, less amps is bad...

you could probably get away with a 1A power supply since that is the max current draw, but you don't really want to be running a PS at 100% capacity

Re: Processing the ER-1?

I was always planning on running an ER-1 + MBase01.. For the exact reason that then I could layer multiple synth parts for the snare (and have more varied bassdrums) Also then I would be able to separate the drums better for processing/mixing - Bassdrum, Snares + hats/standard perc, Special Perc I h...

Sorry if I'm derailling here,

would it be plausible to build an uber-custom-mixer out of modular components? (like build a channel trip, aux sends, return chans, etc)

Oh, and there were a couple of people who compared it to some bands who I don't remember the names of. If you happen to be one of those people could you tell me again? I hate it when you lose data. I was the one who compared it to vaguely-chillwave, but more synthetic, dark and without vocals.. and...

Re: Has anyone here modded a Boss DR-110?

I can't record it now because it's in pieces again - I am planning on resoldering all of the connections cos they kept coming loose thanks to my inexperienced first job. Bass drum decay was very touchy.. I had 2 bassdrum controls - decay and bassyness (0 bassyness was like a click almost, full was l...
