Re: MIDI control with 16encoders+16 buttons
a pair of nanokontrols.. no thanks.. had bad experience with the nano series. the command station has no encoders. The zeros are quite nice, certainly an option.. One thing that makes me unsure is they have the kind of 'half and half' controller arrangement.. so if you place 2 next to each other the...

MIDI control with 16encoders+16 buttons
OK So I've decided to be lazy and take the easy way out with my DIY sequencer.. Instead of solder+build the interface/enclosure for it, I'm just going to buy a midi controller to send controls to the sequencer program.. Anyway I'm trying to come up with ideas of controllers that have at least 16 enc...

Re: Has anyone here modded a Boss DR-110?
I did.. it was my first ever proper electronics project though... so uhh.. I'm gonna have to get another one sometime now that I'm more experienced with electronics. It's pretty straight forward, you're just gonna be working in a veeeery tight space - breakout box is a must, but even just fitting th...

some will work fine according to the computer but mess things up for certain other devices.. I had to buy 3 different ones before I found one that worked with my ES-1

^ I agree..
The sad thing is this isn't an updated nova at all, it's a xiosynth with a less ugly case and some extra synthesis features

Re: Midi Controllers with NPRN on the cheap ?
sounds like you got unlucky, the BCR2000 is one of the few products behringer actually got right.. I'm sure there are still plenty with issues but I've owned 3 over the past few years and never had a problem with any.. so it is possible to get a good one. I keep switching from software back to hardw...

Re: Minimoog Model D vs ARP Odyssey: How Has This Not Been D
When the dust settles, they're still only tools. Or apples and oranges. Or different colors on the palette, if you want to get artsy. How the player uses them is what defines them; therefore, the concept of "vs" is really irrelevant. and humans are just sacks of chemicals, therefore synthesisers ar...

Re: Mid-Side Processing
I use it sometimes to add stereo-ness to synth sounds - phasing on the sides, delay, reverb, etc.. distortion is a cool one.. but haven't spent much time experimenting with the possibiliities really, just used it for subtle stuff.

Re: 1MEG, Log Pot - for Roland gear : parts source?
you can get pots with both pin arrangements either 90deg or straight down, should just be a case of browsing the pots available on the jaycar website or something
