Re: New Elektron Gear?
I guess Elektron will keep whatever it is they are secretly building under their hats, and will probably surprise us all when it's time... Yep, and they will update the front page of their website with vague hints before it is released. yup, and there will be a lot of hype, and most likely, for goo...

Re: New Elektron Gear?
I'm hoping for the Elektron MachineBanjo with P-locks and a sepersate sequencer for the bass-string. no seriously, I've got enough GAS with the MD UW and the Linndrum 2 to even consider other gear for the next year or so

Re: JoMox AB99, Machinedrum or make do with an ER-1?
The ER-1 makes a great percussion unit when synced with a real drum machine. Couple it with a sampler or something else, and it is excellent for adding in a bunch of blippy sounds and reinforcing the bass drum. +1 on that. I have my ER-1 synced with a Jomox XBase and FR revolution and like it a lot...

Re: Acid Live jam (EMX & FR Revolution)
hat track would certainly fit well in a live show
nice sounds, but a little too much of the same if you ask me (i.e too long), but that's the nature of jams I guess
nice use of your gear, and as always, brilliant sounds

Re: best groovebox for compatibility with external gear?
well, having owned (and still do until someone buys my mc808), an ESX, MC-808 and a Monomachine, I say they are 3 very different machines, and they do things very differently. if you are to get the 808, be aware that you will need to learn a very confusing and at times, stupid user interface, spent...

Re: What is your live set up?
I always say I'm going to play live "soon", but I still havent (without my ex-band). but as of today, I'd pretty much bring out all my gear.. I try to keep my gear collection slim so that there would be little difference between gear used for recording and gear used for live. Ultimately, I'd love to...

Re: best groovebox for compatibility with external gear?
the monomachine is supposedly (havent tried myself, as I have little gear that needs controlling externally) a very great MIDI groovebox, as it can sequence 6 mono tracks in addition to the 6 internal mono tracks :) A bit pricey, but well worth the money if you take the time to dig deep into it :) I...

Re: The gear I've had during the years...

Re: Sherman filterbank bassline
yeah, I only wish I could program drums that good, but my ESX sounds too mechanical for those kind of drums, so as for now, I stick to chopping up drum loops and re-arranging them.. how much time do you spend making drums like that one on your MPC? I kind of want one for more real-sounding drums, an...

Re: Sherman filterbank bassline
I think it sounds really great, both the juno/sherman demo and the next track. just the kind of dnb/jungle I like. like you said with drum sounds, I think 95% of all dnb/jungle out there has way too hard sounding drums, your loops sound much more natural andmore tasteful in my ears. are the drums sa...

Re: Chase - Virus Ti
instant 80's stuff, reminds me a bit of norwegian artist Ugress at times, very well produced, the melodies are beautiful and you seem to master the art of mixing very well, as all sounds stand out
I want a virus now. damn you both!!

cool cover, It's of one of my favourite tracks of all time
seems you are a little out of time, but that's the charm of jamming
drums sequenced in a computer?
