ok i found a solution perhaps will have to make up some cables and test it

i connected a mono cable to the source trig in/out from the tr626 and it made the source sound a continuous tone

this was without a rythym pattern playing on the tr626

just measured the voltages .... the +/-15v rails are at 8v and the +/- 5v rails are at 3.7v , the voltages from the full wave rectifiers are 11.4v & 5.2v. do i need a replacement transformer? or replacement step-down transformer ? How can i get an export transformer 341bx or equivalent? i'd be happy...

Replaced the 5v regulator this evening, still no dice , other any suggestions?

cleaned the 5 volt digital regulator u3 ( 7805 ) as described

and still no dice, cleaned all the other voltage regulators as well.
