Sounds dreamy. =P~
At 58 seconds the sound reminded me of "Portishead - Humming". I am pretty sure Adrian Utley owns a synthi but from what I remember he used a Minimoog(or at least live anyway).

How's it feel to compose with the Octopus? Ever use it live? I was watching the videos and making patterns can be pretty fast when you know it.aeon wrote:GenoQs Octopus

Looks like a nice balance so far of software and software/hardware combo's. For me, it's the MnM and x0xb0x...but many will disagree. It's your choice man... #-o. Unless someone breaks into your place and grabs your arms and says "No! We are going to use this to make your musics!" :duckie: Song mode...

Re: In Praise of Arturia Origin
Are you sure about that? Or are you just being really nice? It being Arturia almost 3K for a box with their softsynths isn't very appealing. Their emulations are wack.Ashe37 wrote:I don't get it... their VS sound ok

But seriously was he using a DX-7? D-50? I am sure someone knows. He still has a Prophet 5 says so on his studio site.

I've seen the Atari ST come up so much in recent months. It must be pretty epic to use. The best thing I hear is midi timing. It's like a legend. I almost bought one but I have to quit getting drawn into old computers. I could spend hours reading forum posts and gathering info on stuff and then afte...

That Emu sounds pretty cool. 16 in 16...damn. Cool to see some people using hardware although I guess software is where it's at. It's hard to avoid the comp I suppose with all it's song writing and recording power. I think I was getting more done with a computer to write stuff compared to now. :mrgr...

*puts on a hat* *listening to demos* Oh shi- *hat flies off* :o Great sounds. It has some backbone to it on that first demo. The second demo has some cool weird sounds like outer space awesome. I like what I hear and I haven't been really digging err liking any gear for a while. I want one! Well I w...

Versatile and favorite sequencers: What's yours?
This has crossed my mind here and there the past couple of weeks and I thought I would make a post. http://sustainability.tufts.edu/images/Frog-thinking.jpg What is your favorite sequencer? Does it inspire you? What about it makes it favorable? It can be in any hardware device(hands, brain and a met...

Re: Native Instruments Maschine
At first I thought the Maschine looked pretty good the way it worked. Then I noticed it wasn't hardware. Bummer. I would have to use my audio interface to sample which I can already do without it. I don't remember the exact buzzwords they were using but I think they were pushing speed. They can swit...

Re: Ikea to the rescue
A little bit of common sense would have avoided that fiasco. Ikea shelving isn't the highest quality stuff, and stacking hundreds of pounds of vinyl inside was asking for trouble. Totally. Especially when the shelves are held in place by tiny wood pegs. They must have had a look of horror when that...
