I just saw Death Wish I and II this weekend on A&E. Lots of cool synth sounds in the backing music.

I still liked Charles Bronson better in The Dirty Dozen.

It would be rather pointless to produce a drumstation clone. Elektron, the future release of the LinnDrumm, Jomox, Vermona, modular companies with drum modules, and software pretty much have the entire drum synth market cornered.

When I did a research paper on how the Minimoog changed music, this book was my primary source of info- http://www.amazon.com/Analog-Days-Invention-Impact-Synthesizer/dp/0674016173/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210987551&sr=1-1 Do yourself a favor and get this book. Not only is it a goldmine ...

I'm already well over budget, so the FreqBox can wait, but I like the idea of it. i was looking at the overview of the Moogerfooger Training DVD, and there is a technique covered there for using the FreqBox as a 4th oscillator for the Voyager. Not that I need that, but that sounds cool. I am thinki...

the DotCom plans are not really so expensive, take a look on the entry level system on the following link: http://www.synthesizers.com/system-entry1.html Thats what I have along with a 3rd VCO, 2nd VCF(ladder filter), 2nd VCA, Distributor, Instrument Interface, Clipper/Rectifier, and a Pan/Fade. Old G4 Powerbook Mac user here running Live 5. For my needs, Live 5 runs flawlessly on my system. I can't speak for Live 6 or 7 though, nor any version of Logic. I also run Reaktor as an AU hosted by Live. I really have to be careful with the polyphony though(higher polyphony=more CPU cycles). Some ...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=40uqSd8Q74c I love this track, anybody know where I can get an MP3 of it? http://www.discogs.com/release/565166 http://www.discogs.com/release/565166 I guess none of these would be considered acid, but they definitely fit in the dirty techno descriptor. I'm really just a casual DM fan myself, but I do have to say this track has a very sinister spin on 80's synth pop. I like the industrial clangs and arppegiated bass, very cool!

Hey, thats really good for a first song. I agree with JMP, drums need variation plus you should also consider throwing some hats in there as well, and yeah, you need a pad or strings to fill the rest of the song in. I see that you'd like to meet Vince Clarke, that explains the Depeche Mode influence...

I see what you mean about the 128kb limit. The compression can really destroy a mix. Anyways, I enjoyed listening to this detroit style techno track. Drexciya does techno a lot like this- check it out http://www.last.fm/music/Drexciya I wouldn't worry too much about using a preset here and there. If...
