Use a compressor that has sidechaining. Put the compressor on your bass and send the kick to the sidechain input on the compressor. The volume on the bass will duck everytime the kick fires.

A noise gate will take care of noise in between sounds and a high cut eq or low pass filter to get rid of some audible noise while sound(s) are going.

Cool, thanx Vcs3! The JP-8x0x0 is weird, there is a gap between the base of the knob and the case instead of the base of the knob covering the pot post like on most synths or any other box with knobs on it. On the JP-8000, if there is dust build-up, a dust bunny appears from no where within the gap ...

My ER-1 won't be shipped until Monday and I should have my ES-1 by Mon. or Tues. weird. it seems you ordered the ER-1 first, but you're getting the other stuff sooner. Yes, the seller of the ER-1 just informed me that he/she is dealing with a death in the family and will be back from the services a...

I made a feedback loop with my EA1 and ER1 both runnging sequences to modulate eachother's feedback. It was so fun and uncontrollable. You tweak one little thing it would change eveything. Everybody who has these boxes and likes having fun should try this. yeah that one is really fun :) Get a bunch...

Another recommendation for the Moog delay(especially when the switch is set to "long"). Also, the EHX Deluxe Memory Man. Input can be nicely overdriven and the chorus/vibrato can add either a gentle or sea-sick inducing modulation to the delay. Get both if you can.

ahh the ES1 is fab... i was gonna get one bu then they brought out the ESX. When i said football i meant UK football or soccer to you lot. :P I don't actually have any pedals, i do have a couple of effects units and the VF1 emulates pedals and has some nice distortion in it. Mine has almost everything in their catalog. All of the DSI stuff, Nord(they even have a used Nord Lead 1 $8 or 700? right now), Access, Korg, etc... They do however never have a Voyager and the Moogerfoogers(no need to test those anyways, just get em) in stock.

FX pedals? As with most of the people here, I've got a pretty healthy amount of them. Pitch shifters, octave up/down fuzz boxes, distortion, overdrive, reverb, delay, multi-fx box, most of the Moogerfoogers. I like that idea of running a football game through the sampler. Gating the crowd noise, qua...
