Re: Going to Japan, recommend me a store to buy synths

The thing is, it as closed :/ I can't figure out why. I will try to come back in a couple days I guess. 火曜日定休 ...

Re: Mooger Mf-101

Well, essentially it will filter things removing higher frequencies and keeping lower one as you may already know, however the way in which it does that is quite particular, so when comparing this filter to another filter the way each one effects the original sound will be different. Usually when pe...

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

Yeah, I mean in relativity to a piano or a guitar etc, it's physically interactive aspects involve touching a flat surface. Dont get me wrong, I consider the iPad more of an instrument than a computer by a long shot. I think its depth is limited partially due to apples limit on the hardware. But its...

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

You must have a very restrictive or antiquated notion of what an instrument is. To me, if it helps me make music, it is an instrument, regardless of whether or not it also surfs the web like my computer or cuts wood like a singing saw or holds knick knacks like Liberace's piano. Without a direct in...

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

I don't understand your point. Sure my computer wasn't designed to solely be a musical instrument but I can put out fully formed and musical tracks using it. But yeah I suppose it is just like when they put a synth on a calculator. Just a little toy designed to amuse people. No bullshit anywhere in...

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

The iPad isnt a musical tool. Its just capable of musical results.

Just like when people used to sell calculators with little keyboards in them.

Re: Going to Japan, recommend me a store to buy synths

I can only speak for Tokyo here, but I dont imagine Kyoto's brimming with synth stores anyway... If you go to Five G for anything vintage there can often be a wait involved, as some things are waiting to be serviced etc, so keep that in mind. Usually Echigoya (I would recommend them) in Shibuya has ...

I could try and guess but we could be here all day.

I guess it's either a completely new synth design form moog, or some kind of controller software. But something tells me it's a standalone product.

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

holding an iPad and looking amazed... That be cause some young dame is flashing her ankles at him on the screen of that there boxamajigger... Either that or it's something innovatingly pointless, like a 3D Minimoog app. Complete with cringeworthy taglines like, 'The sound just jumps out the screen ...
