Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer
did you hear the oscilloscope stuff? =D> The synth's price is out of my range indeed. They sacrificed MIDI in the name of portability. Is a shame but MIDI is a must to me due to the way I work. For other persons is OK, but I would never pay for it due to that issue. Yeah I was more impressed with t...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer
I think part of the appeal of the design is its 'toy like' styling (its design has the presence of a gadget, and people love wasting money on gadgets), plus the build is hardly toy like, from what Ive seen/read it involves processed and finely machined materials rather than ABS like most other relat...

Re: Why has no one made a midi controllable analog drum unit
I think a lot of the smaller companies like vermona may not have the software know how to include full MIDI control, a lot of the boutique companies never seem to go into the digital domain, as I imagine some of them dont have the knowledge to program, test and debug etc... Jomox have done it somewh...

Re: Why has no one made a midi controllable analog drum unit
samples for rim, clap and cymbals would seem to leaves out the analog sounds I would want the most. Sigh... I get what your saying, but I think there arent many parameters you can have for these sounds, as too much difference in parameters would make those sounds go out of character, ie wouldnt sou...

Re: Moog Voyager XL
I think it looks really nice, plus I'm wondering whether the patch points will be intergrated into the patch saving function, as thats something Ive seen showing up more and more on modulars recently... If not, then its a bit of a strange option for moog to take, although, I guess it would allow peo...

Re: Vocal sample run in time with beat, how?
There are a few ways, but from the sound of it, I imagine something like: Theyve took the sex sample (not the moan in the background) and chopped it to what sounds like eighths, and then played the pieces over the beat or to a tempo and added the beat afterward. If you follow the slapping sound in t...

From what your saying I'd say get an 808, you could always sell it if you wanted to get a cheaper alternative.

Re: TR-808 vs. JOMOX 888
Just thought Id add, the setup stab has mentioned is good if your willing to part from the idea of a singular machine, and would offer quite range of sounds. There's a difference when it comes to the build, as the MFB machines often have shared outputs for some sounds etc, and the sequencer which wo...
