Re: TR-808 vs. JOMOX 888
The jomox can do long kicks etc with plenty of bass, plus the samples in the hi hat and cymbal section etc, contain 808 (or maybe 606 now I think about it) sounds, but, while there is a decent amount of crossover, I would say that the Jomox isnt generally the same flavour or sound of the 808 as a wh...

Re: Metasonix drummachine or Assblaster KV 100
Never had an opportunity to try those things myself, but Metasonix gets sort of bad rep in the noise / industrial / experimental circles. SImply for being way too overpriced for what they are and how they compare to other similar designs. All I can say is that I've been seriously underwhelmed by th...

Re: TR 909 - Ride volume drops...
Same here... Just as I've gone back to it, a problem occurs... although to be fair its the first time... have you had your 909 serviced at all though ? sometimes these drum machines exhibit intermittent faults during their lifetime. Like my 808, i leave it to warm up for 20 mins first before using ...

TR 909 - Ride volume drops...
My 909 ride has been doing this for a short while now. Every so often when I turn it on or while its on, the ride volume is pretty much muted. The volume cut occurs across both outputs (individual and main) and only affects the ride sound.... Ive heard that the back panel can sometimes cause proble...

Re: 3 osc mono analog
I don't think the liepzig has patch memory, Im sure the screen is just for midi set up etc.... Plus it's 2 osc with a sub osc... It is lovely though... Really? Weird didn't know that, makes me think why would you not have patch memory with a screen - seems kinda strange to me  Yeah true, would...

Re: Metasonix drummachine or Assblaster KV 100
Remember that the d1000 drums are ringing filters and as such can be used that way. You can run sounds through them while they are trigger by the sequencer or feedback it's sounds. Plus it can overdrive etc of course.

Re: 909, 808, 303 - Worth it?
Not to bash on hybrids statement but; I dont think production has improved, if anything it has become stale and conventional, but there are more options available, and many more techniques can be achieved. I also dont think making electronic beats has come a long way either, the structures are still...
