Re: Look what I got! ............Macbeth M5!

Dude, that is awesome! A Macbeth M5N is my "ultimate want" synth. I hear ya on the girlfriend thing. I showed my wife a picture of one and she said "no way". It's not like I could afford it anyway. Congrats! I'm green with envy. EDIT: I forgot to say - great sounds in that demo too!

Isn't a 777 worth more than a new XS?

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

That said, just know that an Eventide is good times too, in a way analog effects cannot be. Neither is better or worse - in slutty style, you just have to have both! Oh, I know. Truth be told, I'd love to have an Eclipse, H3000, or anything they make really. The new Pitch Factor pedal is ...

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

Don't buy several effects units; just buy one high-quality big one :) Heh, I've taken the opposite approach. I own exactly ONE hardware synth and 11 effects units (all analog): Moogerfooger 101 Moogerfooger 103 Moogerfooger 107 Moogerfooger 251 Frostwave Blue Ringer Ibanez AD-202 Delay Boss CE-300 ...

Re: Name the Synths: Flight of the Concords edition

Hmm. I dunno. But in the episode I saw last week, I'm pretty sure they had a Wurlitzer in their apartment.

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

I can totally understand your disappointment, as I just sold my Nord Lead 1 . I actually liked it, but on my limited budget I had to draw the line because it didn't really sound any better than the soft synths I have (namely, Sonic Projects OP-X). The NL1 was THE first VA synth almost 15 years ago, ...

I heard that Jered won't announce it until this thread drops down to page 2.

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

Re: the poll.
I WANT it to be a drum machine.
I THINK it will be a sequencer (Mobius V2).

Best option: BOTH! A drum machine along the lines of an Electribe ER-1 (except all analog), with a TB-style mono sequencer built in to control your XS. :D

Hey, me too! I'm a sax player struggling to make bleepy synth sounds.
I think your approach is unique, and you could easily make an album out of tunes like these.
You should name the album Switched-On Kitsch. :)

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

If it is, I hope it operates something like this: http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/8656/esqxcv0.jpg Now that is just silly. Who would want a step sequencer with only 15 steps?!? Just kidding. :D I think VSE cuts off pictures if they are over a certain size. It has done it to me before. Nice photo...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

Where oh where are the reports. :) Isn't the Namm show over for today? I emailed Jered last week. He's not at NAMM, but will be announcing the new product "around NAMM time" on his own (on the FR website probably?). Still no news though. I wish he'd hurry up so I can make my save versus spend on ot...

Re: Winter NAMM 09 flood begins

You sure about the price on the EWI? Got a link? I think one of those would be tons of fun. Those have been out for at least a couple of months. $299 at Amazon.com, and a customer review dated back in November: http://www.amazon.com/Akai-Instrument-Garritan-Player-Software/dp/B001L0XUG4/ref=pd_bbs_...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I think this is it right here:

http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2009/01 ... -kick.html

The distortion sounds very FR XS-like to me. I think Jered put the clip up as a tease, incognito.

Or not.
