Describing music with words is a subjective task. We generally have to refer to other senses. Personally, I would use the word 'warm' to describe music that accentuates mid-low frequencies and that predominantly uses a lot of blurred sounds.

In all modesty, yes. My mind is more musical than technical and I never had a real modular in hands. Maybe it would be an eye opener for me, maybe not.
