Re: Patchblocks: Create Your Own Programmable Modular Synth
Some more demoes are posted: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2012099678/patchblocks-programmable-mini-synth-modules?ref=card I think they sound dope, I'm getting more and more convinced. I see their web site is updated with some more programs as well. When people finally get their hands on these...

Re: Patchblocks: Create Your Own Programmable Modular Synth
What, no interest for this project? I think it looks pretty cool. One thing that caught my attention in the video, is that it seems like it's possible to load programs with several effect algorithms at the same time. It appears he's just switching between them. This would open for some really, reall...

Re: Any Roland SP-404 fans here?
the SP404SX sound is what-you-hear-is-what-you-get...it has no data compression and is very 'clean' sounding. The 303 and 505 have lower bitrate A/D conversion (I think...) and in general sound a little grimier and lofi. They also have a 'vinyl compression' type effect the 404SX lacks that people l...

Re: Any Roland SP-404 fans here?
i've tried the sp-303, 404sx, 505, 606, and settled on the 505. none of them are great for real complex stuff i use fl studio for that but for a fast, simple, fun unit for some lo-fi and boom bap the 505 fits the bill for me. the 404sx the sound wasn't really my thing and the $300 in my pocket was ...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?
i don't own the minibrute, but if i did i might be a little pissed about the sequencer on this new product (like damn i dropped 5 or 6 hundred and they get a sequencer for 3?) Yeah, this is known to happen from time to time. Like the Alesis Micron incorporating functionality that wasn't present in ...

I for one, am excited. I've already decided to pick up both the A4 and the Octatrack, though, so a part of me kinda hopes this new machine isn't equally awesome

Re: Most abused synths/tones
Of course maybe its because my greatest secret shame is that I kind of like a couple VNV Nation albums. Well, sir, that is definately nothing to be ashamed about! VNV Nation rule. What are your favourite albums? I never listend to much beyond Praise the Fallen and Empires. I hope I'm not offending ...
