Re: Polysix ensemble effect
A tri and a sine LFO modulating two chorus lines on L and R, one normal and one inverted...That's pretty much the classical "Roland" chorus setup and will give you a nice Dimension D, CE1, JU60 sound. But not really the P6 Ensemble. The Oakley SE330 does this in its "Dimension" mode. With actual BBD...

Re: Polysix ensemble effect
Yeah, pretty much what garranimal said. The Elkorus will get you there. The Oakley is great too but different, definitely more "Roland".

Re: Doepfer MSY2
I have a couple of their 1:3 din sync splitters, works fine and they're nicely done. No experience with the converters, of course that's infinitely more complicated than the passive splitter which is basically just the plugs connected to each other... At their prices, it cannot hurt to try them, I d...

Re: Doepfer MSY2
The stability of the master clock will matter most for timing. That said, I like my KMS30, handy little tool. Don't have any experience with the MSQ line, but looks sweet... And my MSY is not in use since some time, but it always did a solid job.

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015-2016
I was looking around the studio thinking, what have I never put in a feedback loop… That's a thought you should have once in a while. So my beloved and often used Boss RBF10 flanger was sitting there all innocent looking. As you can imagine, the outcome is the RBF Feedback Sequence. http:/...

ALSO: read and listen to all of this: http://www.vintagesynth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=78524 Thanks mate, highly appreciate the linking! :thumbleft: As for the OP: Yeah, I'd also second trying stuff you cannot do with (most) hardwired architecture synths. Stab has mentioned a few interesting i...

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015-2016
I was fooling around with self-oscillation on the RES4 a lot lately and also wanted to give using the CTG-VC as an oscillator a try at one point in the Workout. So I decided to combine the two for this fun little patch. http://i67.tinypic.com/jv0ktv.jpg http://soundcloud.com/contracommunemopinionem/...

Re: syncing a tr 606 to a tr 707
Are you using the din sync out of the 707 or a converter box in between?
EDIT: Oops, I see you said Quicksilver. So midi I guess? Can it do din sync?

Re: Trying to find the best sequencer
Are you open for modulars? Some fun sequencers in Eurorack that do ratchets. And you can build the synth you want included around it

Re: MIDI recording - a little help?
A general purpose midi monitor that you can use without any DAW would help. Midi-OX is the best known for Win, not sure though whether there's a Win 7 installer... I'd check that first. It would immediately show if there are splits on different channels and stuff like that. Another idea: Do you have...
