Re: Synth outputs... balanced or unbalanced?
Bringing your own DIs also has the big advantage that you can tell the live tech to go away with those B€hringer DIs he wants you to use

Re: How to find a draft that I started on the forum?
User Control Panel > Overview > Manage drafts. AFAIK, it will not allow you to post the drafted text from there (email draft style); But you'll get the thread title and what you've saved in the message text, so you can copy that and go to the thread to actually post it. EDIT: Ignore my second paragr...

Re: Kawai K3m and MIDI control
Look again. It accepts sysex and you can fully program the synth from that. The Kiwi and Stereoping controllers wouldn't be possible otherwise...

Re: Kawai K3m and MIDI control
It says that you need Sysex.
Have a look at the Kiwitechnics Patch Editor and / or the Stereoping Synth Controller.

Re: SH-101 envelope issue (strange behaviour)
Subscribing to this. A friend of mine has one with a long release (regardless of fader setting and gate length). I was assuming that it's just a bad slider so far, but haven't talked to my tech yet...

Re: Longest production runs for synths
Adjusted for inflation, $40k in 1980 is $115k in 2016.
Conclusion: that 30A is a steal!

What's the game about, do you have to catch recharging envelopes?

Re: Hardest bass line form a poly 800
Well, yeah that's true. On the other hand, the 101 sequencer does just that as well (rests, ties) if you use it as it was intended originally - i.e., with a steady clock instead of irregular triggers (which is all the fun, of course). You know that there's a "tap programming" mode on the 202, right ...

Re: Could you trust a doepfer msy2 / mc202
That will not work at all. The MSY2 only creates a clock in addition to midi thru and dinsync (and the analogue clock always has the same PPQN as the midi- and dinsync clock outputs, i.e. 24 PPQN if you actually use those - which is annoying). No actual CV/gate. Generally, the MSY2 timing is ok. It ...

Re: TR-707 Issue
Change the batteries.
Quick power cycle: the internal batteries were able to store everything for a short time.
Power cycle the next day: too long since it had power for the last time, it depends on the AA batteries for backup. If they're empty, you get a resetted / randomly programmed machine.
