Re: Your Favorite Arpeggiator In A Synth?

only synth with arp i own is my juno... and i LOVE it. with external sync (synced by 303 or acidlab), this is really useful and key to lots of my tracks... i only wish it had a random mode (or obviously other modes than up/updown/down...).

Re: Advice on NEW Analog lead synth

I am looking for suggestions on options for a new analogue synth that can give me the widest range of lead sounds for progressive rock. I have a number of decent keyboards, but nothing that can really fill this need. Any suggestions? what other keyboards do u have? what is ur budget? a voyager is a...

Re: Roland SE 50: worth the rackplace, cables and inputs?

thx for the replies so far! as i dont have any (hardware) vocoder yet, it could really be a nice addition to my setup. i was quite sure that it doesnt have lots of bands, but as u said, it is a cheap unit... Understanding vocoder speech mainly depends upon splitting the signal beforehand so that the...

Re: moog instruments without release?

that's some interesting thoughts. thx On the Minimoog there is a Release parameter, even though there's no dedicated knob for it. It's controlled by the Decay knob (so your Release time is always the same as your Decay time), and you can toggle the Release on and off with the Decay switch located ri...

Re: Roland SE 50: worth the rackplace, cables and inputs?

I heard those have a stereo vocoder effect, which is not so common Is this true? how does it sound? that would indeed be worth the rackplace :) Actually just mono, apparently (L is carrier, R modulator) But still, you don't see that very often in a hardware multieffect yeah. so it's worth thinking ...

Re: Roland SE 50: worth the rackplace, cables and inputs?

They're pretty noisey. that's what i'm wondering about. on some of my instruments, i like the slight noise, f.e. the juno chorus. but i'm not sure if i would want it in digital reverbs that should sound "good"... and thus so far i thought it wouldnt serve me much. I heard those have a stereo vocode...

moog instruments without release?

so i wonder why some moogs dont have a release in their envelopes. minimoog model d prodigy im not sure if ADS - ADS is the better combination than ms20 or ARP AR - ADSR... i tend to use release on monosynths a lot, so i really wonder why moog abdictated release controls. i must say that i never pla...

Roland SE 50: worth the rackplace, cables and inputs?

so i could have a roland se 50 for almost no $.

i'm not really a friend of digital stuff, and i think reverbs and stuff r better done in a DAW than with effect units...

am i wrong? is a roland se 50 worth a place in the rack, the cables and the inputs on the interface?
