Most interesting bit from that Amazona review: they seem to know that there'll be some bigger version of something... Soon-ish...

Re: Waldorf Pulse 2 opinions (looks like it's not appreciate
Thanks for digging that up mate, the manual doesn't really mention anything (or I was too stupid to find it). That's a sweet bonus. Consulting the manual, I also realized it can do hz/v as well as s-triggers, fixed transpositions (i.e., a variable offset) on the CV out and other CV than pitch (EG, L...

That's nice, I wasn't aware of that. Does it also work as a midi-cv converter?Ned Bouhalassa wrote:arp CV out

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015
Thanks very much mate, highly appreciate it! Yeah the ping percussion track is one of my favorites too so far, together with the very first one that somehow just worked really nicely. :headbang: Love to ping and FM those filters, you can get some great and surprisingly "organic" sounds. And that bea...

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015
For a long time I wanted to see what I can do with a RE201 and MXR 129 Pitch Transposer in a feedback loop via a mixer. So here is the pitchshifting Space Echo! https://soundcloud.com/contracommunemopinionem/aug-15-pitchshifting-space-echo https://soundcloud.com/contracommunemopinionem/aug...

Re: Envelopes: no sustain but long release ?
There will be no release if you complete the decay phase. But if you let the key go before the decay has ended, it'll go into release.

Re: Synths with both keys and step sequencers?
if I realtime record a very sloppily played line with a midi sequencer and then quantize it to death and remove all velocity and aftertouch, did it just become a "step sequencer"? No, step and real time are two different types of sequencing. A true real time sequence, has no steps.. You are not pla...

Re: Synths with both keys and step sequencers?
That doesn't answer the question. A definition of a technology cannot rely solely on the product of that technology, "playing a sequence" is an extreme case of equifinality. Also known as the fallacy of affirming the consequent. For example: if I realtime record a very sloppily played line with a mi...

Re: Synths with both keys and step sequencers?
Indeed... Probably was only thinking of synths with keys and any sequencer.
Where's the line though, what constitutes a "step" sequencer? Being able to input stuff in non-realtime? Being able to access all stages at any time to alter single steps, X0X style?
