AFAIK, multiple Moog 960 sequencers (possibly with Projekt Elektronik modifications)...about 3:35.

DON'T get rid of it. Like sam says, probably bad caps/supply overhaul time. Broke is hopefully temporary--a 2600 is forever.

Re: DX7 condition
I was interested in learning FM synthesis Yamaha-style, so I asked around my production and music circles. A buddy had a DX7IIFD with E! in mint condition with a bunch of goodies--hard case, stand, floppies, documentation up the wazoo--everything I'd ever need and them some. I gave him $250 for the ...

Shows that there are still vintage pieces at reasonable prices out there--just need to have patience and a bit of luck. This gives hope to us all. Another congratulation!

Re: Spend my inheritance (well... some of it...)
I also just got my W2 today and did the math... there will also be a pretty nice tax refund in the mix. Yeah... I'm thinking Voyager and Prophet 08. Flip the LP2 and a couple of polysynths and start building the synthesizers.com modular system Won't happen for a couple of weeks, since the lawyers h...

Re: Spend my inheritance (well... some of it...)
I've seen Voyagers go on CL and eBay for @ $2000, and P08s for @ $1500. Since I'd probably be selling a couple of polysynths after getting the latter, and trhe LP after getting the former, I could easily get BOTH a Voyager and a Prophet in budget and have some money left over to put some money into...

Re: Spend my inheritance (well... some of it...)
Maybe an Old School? Because they're only shipping 200 more, that'll make them more unique than the Voyager, and closer in spirit to the Model D. Yer Uncle will smile...

Re: Legalities of using the word MiniMoog
If those software manufacturers do use the name, they doubtless pay some kind of royalty for commercial use.

Re: Legalities of using the word MiniMoog
The worst that could happen is that you'll get some kind of cease-and-desist order from Moog. Maybe nothing will happen. But the fact that you're inquiring about the legality says something about whether you should use the name at all.
