I agree. There's just something about the PSR and PSS line that strikes me as good. I had a PSR, but gave it back to my father, and I still have my PSS. It's a cool little synth, and I got it for $40. What also proves interesting is taking these and running them through some effects. You can really ...

Figure of speech. Look at what he said in the first post.

I think the 3rd is the Roland D-50. As I remember, they were usually referred to as the top 3 digitals because of how many they sold.

I'd actually like to know the synthesizer that was the biggest flop. ;)

Getting back to the 2600, I missed the boat when they were going for $2600.00 US a while back. I kept bidding just under 2 bills for the ones that looked nice but were not fully functional. Plus I was looking for a black and orange 2600. Those days are gone. I guess my black and orange Oddy with th...

Thanks a bunch i might try tightening the custom moog knobs on the hold and release. If that doesn't work it looks like i'm going to have to sort something out with this seller/ebay. I am going to be in a rage!!! Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with that. I'll be around, especial...

Sold for $50.1K USD. Wow. I am skeptical as to whether payment will actually be made. but jeez! WD It makes you wonder when it's that price. Who exactly would be able to spend that much? Perhaps it's a composer for movies in Hollywood or maybe some obscure rich guy that was always fascinated by syn...

Sound Waves

After reading and learning more about sound waves today, I have come to a question that stumps me and I can't seem to find online. The question is, when a sound wave is recorded, is the recording specifically the actual sound itself, or is the recording just of the wave and when the wave is played b...

Ran into a little problem. Probably me not knowing enough about the A6/synthesis yet. But when I start moving the PWM while using the Square wave, the sound tends to cut out a lot. At first I thought it was because 2 waves with different PWM would drift into eachother, and cause the cut out. I ruled...

then you will know why....

EH has gone down the toilet for the most part...
Is it the same for all their products? I'm guessing there's not as much depth?

I'd like to know as well, since I was planning on buying one of these.

What about the Korg PS-3100? Does that use digital tracking as well? The others in the PS series have enough VCO's to support the polyphony, but the 3100 only has 12 VCO's and 48 note polyphony. I've always had a thing for the orange and black colored ARP's, despite their "inferior" sound. I don't t...

On ebay I've been seeing Jupiter 6's go in the $1300 range.. which isn't that bad at all. About the same price as a new Little Phatty. But the price in the Craigslist ad is insane.. considering the TeeBee was $150? They must have bad sources. The VSE article they listed doesn't even list it for that...

It came with a very old manual...Everything is hand drawn. My favorite manual because of that. The pictures make me laugh. Mainly the ones with a "human" head. Oh, and let's not forget the "if you're 2600 is not making any sound, make sure the power is on" bit. Well, the cartoonist isn't exac...
