Forgot to mention how the ARP is monophonic. :P

Congrats on getting a 2600! I hope to get one someday possibly.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. Someone using it for what it was intended for.

Funny, I had a hunch the Jupiter-8 was involved too. I got lucky for once. :D

Also.. what is this? Something EMS?

Yeah, he's pushing the boundaries of music. I liked his rendition of "Das Boot."

I still say you should wait and save up again. Your playlist can be on hold. There's a band in my area that isn't doing any shows until they get everything exactly how they want it. The right equipment, the right sound, enough practice sessions, etc. They want to make an impression when they come ou...

Andromeda edits itself

Decided to make a thread about this problem rather than putting it in my programming thread. But, my A6 edits itself when I use the pitch bender and sometimes my mod wheel. It's nothing like editing only 1 or 2 parts to change the sound up, the sound changes so much and turns into awful sounds. For ...

Wow, thank you for that! It's been driving me crazy trying to think of what he used for that movie. Some parts of the movie sounded analog while other parts (like the end scene) sounded clearly FM. Excellent score and movie.

ARP 2500 Interface

How does the interface on the ARP 2500 work? Recently I've seen pictures up close, and it seems completely alien to me. The ARP 2600, although smaller, has a much easier to grasp layout and interface. The Moog Modulars also have a seemingly simpler interface. The main thing that confuses me on the 2...

I just received an email back from JSR. He said he was 15 when he made his first album. He has to be classically trained.. but how in the world did he get all that equipment back then. Rich parents?

Thanks mute, awesome demos. I'm thinking that I may have no choice but to go with the 3P. It turns out I'm having to spend more on my car that what I at first thought... Either awesome synth or not so awesome immobilized vehicle. So now I'm looking at $200 give or take. Maybe you should wait a bit ...

Anyway, sorry this has turned into another one of my sound production rants. :D Yeah, having two filters on a synth is great but you should also play around running the synths you've got into one another, it's hours of fun for the whole family. That's something I've been wanting to try lately. Runn...

Chocolate pudding seems nice. But will it be as flexible as the jello for those bouncy basses?

The more I listen to his first album, the more I want a TR-808. :( I don't recall hearing it as clearly before as on "Creation." Ah well.. someday maybe I'll get lucky with that.

Well, I bought it and brought it home to try it out better. A few keys don't work, but that probably just needs a good contact cleaning. This is actually not a string synth, it just looks like one. It's actually a scaled down Kimball organ. Scaled down in terms of size, really. It sounds similar to ...

Ok! It's all good. Time will tell who is right about the prices. I say they will come down until the housing market stabilizes. I dare to say housing is a good index of economic health. Now, in fact, this is a great opportunnity too, for those who have the funds. It's a window of oportunity that wi...
