Haha, that sounds really weird and cool. If you ever post some material on the internet, you have to post the link here. :D

So would it be practical to sequence the Mono/Poly with the Mobius and then record into my computer by using an audio interface? Yup - that'd be fine and dandy. Do bear in mind that you can't make use of any polyphonic applications this way though - CV control only works monophonically in this case...

I want to make trip-hop folk music with a synth pop edge and a touch of geek-psychadelia
That sounds almost exactly like my older music. O.o

The Mobius looks good and is cheaper than the Kenton...

After looking at some videos on Youtube, I have fallen in love with the Mono/Poly's sound. It is 26 years old though, so I'll be checking eBay and craigslist pretty often. Vintage Synth Explorer says Arpeg/Seq- YES with very cool effects. Sounds good, but does that means that it has both an Arpeggia...

I have and still am looking around on the web... The reason I came here was to get advice from human beings who have had first-hand experience with the synths that I'm looking at/for.

Speaking of which... The Korg Mono/Poly still has my attention. Has anyone here used one?

I've decided that I'm good for drums, just need a synth now.

I actually don't have that much money at the moment, but ultimately I'm willing to spend $1000.

I'm listening to some Korgs on Youtube and the Mono/Poly sounds really nice to me... Any opinions on that?

Now that I think about it, Ethereal Wave is probably a more accurate description of the stuff that I'm writing in my head. So thick and liquidy is not at all a bad thing for me. Maybe a different Roland?

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you guys... Thanks for the links crystalmsc! So did Vintage Synth Explorer lie, or what? It says that the JP-8 is $500-$1500... I really love warm, fat analog sounds though, what else would be recommended at a maximum of say... $1000? And pix, I make Darkwave ...

Starting a completely new studio

So far I've been using all software stuff, but I would like to get some hardware analog gear. I'm thinking Jupiter 8, a good drum machine and something to sequence the Jupiter. So I have two problems. First, I have no idea what drum machine I should get. And second, I know nothing about sequencing a...
