Re: Does anyone have Drummer 2.0 ? (old DOS program)
Thanks Z, but I have sorted it out. I managed to find some old websites with email adresses, took a few shots in the dark and it paid off. Two nice and helpful people have allready sent me the program! I will put up a permanent link for it. Maybe we should have a sticky for these kind of ...

Re: Advice please...
if you're totaly new to i would recommend going the softsyth way to start. get a midi controller and use it with ableton. you be able to use synth and sampler with it. like i say to anybody that want to start with a musical instrument. first get anything relatively cheap, bellow its going value. be ...

Re: Which synthesizer(s) do you regret getting or selling
Getting: the esi-4000 gets another vote. since i'm not in an area where gear are easily spoted and tried i bought a s5000 and esi-4000 at the same time. i had in mind to keep the one i did prefer of them, the esi4000 never really did anything. i trade it rather quickly after its purchase. microQ . i...

Re: Gyraf Audio SSL Mixbus Compressor Clone
if only i had time, these kind of projects will be when i'll be done with the studies. this way of transfering seems alot easier then the one i used, ink jet photo paper printed with lazer printer... it was a hard work just to have a transfer with this method. this one looks allot easier. your resul...

Re: Hardware effects?
i like behringer stomp boxes. cheap and works well except that they seems to eat battery more then my other brand stomp.
i wouldn't jump on it but in the studio it works damn well.
you might have fum with an old zoom guitar multi-effects

Re: Can surface mount parts be replaced by normal parts?
yes you can. tiny wires from the point the SMT should be to your "full size" component is the way to go. i did this several times and it always worked (1\4w instead of the SMT). i even used couple of time scrap leads of resistor and soldered them perpendicular to the surface, with a good solder you'...

Re: What instrument have you had the longest?
sh-2000, my uncle was the first owner and didn't make any use of it and he saw that i was music oriented because i was always going in the basement playing with this an alka of some sort and a leslie rotary speaker cab. so he gave it to me. the trade was done in somewhere in 1994 for this reason i w...

roland SH-2000 1973, i happen to have one of the first where you can find a filter very similar to the moog one. they change it at some point because of patent issue of some sort. its been my only synth with after touch for more then 14 years, up to last week.

probably, with the energy and drive he put in this project right at the beginning it got to be something like that. he talked about that earlier in this thread i think.

haven't seen him for a while. don't if anybody else got some news from him?
looked at the last message he left on the forum and it was on march 30th. his profile doesn't say what was his last connection here.

Re: wich samplers does load .wav live?
i understand what you meant now. i thought that mpc1000 could resample seamlessly in live use not just its output in "studio" use. has you say i'm not looking for a conventional sampler. the function of seamlessly load a new song while the other is playing is only to keep the set fluid. how do you g...

Re: wich samplers does load .wav live?
Don't take my word for it as I have never actually used one but I think that the KP3 can do all of that. It does limit the length of the samples though... It's more of a looper than a sampler. There's some infrormative videos over at the Roland website IIRC. The thing is, I don't think that you wil...
