Re: mic pre indecision
how did you like the hamptone? the tube or the fet?Stab Frenzy wrote:If you're up for making SCAs you should check out the JLM Audio Baby Animal or Dual. Also the Hamptone kits are a nice two channel unit for a good price.
Otherwise I'd be looking at the DAV out of the one's you've mentioned.

Re: Tascam 388
i would think that if you got a good price, don't mind about the tape and the maintenence it will probably need. why not? it's an all in one machine. maybe not the best, not the worst also. but the most important thing, if you are inspired by it's layout, seeing the reels turning at you left, touchi...

I particularly recall Gordon Reid's 1st review of the Waldorf Q, said it wasn't finished and really shouldn't be on sale yet. The Nord stage got a less than glowing re...

Re: Synth or Beat Machine for Tweakable Drum Sounds
did you try using the drum sound of the microQ to sub out back into the audio in and tweak it that way? i never tried it on mine but it's in the line of "future things to do when i'll be bored or out inspiration"

Zvex makes great stuff! I can't recommend him enough ...
