Re: A CS80 in action.....2009.
"Bump" because I recently submitted a track to the rjd2 remix contest and of course listened to all the audio on his website (not just the contest audio). I came across the track Games You Can Win and thought to myself, "Where have I heard this before?" Then I remembered. It's still a great track an...

Studio Electronics ATC-x. I just sold mine and already miss it.
BASS for days. Bigger than the Voyager or Lil Phatty. Lots of modulation options. Four distinct filters (ARP, Moog, Oberheim, 303). Ring mod. Great synth.

Re: New Moog lunchbox format
I disagree. Many professional studios that I've recorded in employ a modest, compact modular system that they run audio through for effect. In order to do that, they have to invest in a case, the PSU, the modules, and the right cabling to connect them to a balanced professional audio system wired in...

Re: New Moog lunchbox format
1) It looks completely bad-ass.
2) Will this bring them closer to returning to the 5U format for modular synthesis? How sweet would it be to have the moogerfooger line in 5U format with CV?

Alchemy - incredible range of timbres and the ability to modulate the poop out of them combined with a first-rate effects section equals padness extremeness

No, but I haven't heard anything from the Neuron that Alchemy can't do. Care to enlighten me? I'll readily admit I'm wrong.shaft9000 wrote:so alchemy does resynthesis w/ the Hartmann code now?b3groover wrote:Buy Alchemy and a good knobby controller and forget about the Neuron.

Either the auction is fake or the guy is the worst ebayer in the history of the world. 125 instruments and you take one picture of a D-50, a Juno 106, a Roland JD990, and an MG-1?vcs3 wrote:Your change to buy a hole collection (sort of)

Re: Vintage Pianos
I disagree that the Victorian era was the height of piano building. In my opinion, it was from 1910 to 1930 or so. There is literally nothing that sounds as good being made today as a properly restored Steinway D from the mid 20's. Again, my opinion. Of course, a restored Steinway D will set you bac...

Re: iPhone arps?
No, I haven't found anything. The ARP in SynthStation doesn't output MIDI. And like you said, StepPolyArp is iPad only. Bummer.
I'm trying to find a cool step sequencer / arpeggiator app for my iPhone to use with my modular.

Re: Is It Just Me?
I'm surprised, actually, thank someone hasn't bought the ARP name. It seems like a no-brainer with the huge interest in classic analog synthesis these days.
I'm also surprised Moog isn't making modules again.

And it looks like they're releasing a USB version.
