Isn't the Model D also known as a Mini Moog? That's what I thought. MiniMoog it is then.ItalianStallion81 wrote:Modular or Minimoog (likely Minimoog)?Phollop Willing PA wrote:Moog Model D.

Re: Korg Prophecy
So I just scored a Prophecy off eBay for $379. Do you guys think that's a good deal, is it worth more than that? Yes! A very fair to good price. I sold one of my two for $450 locally, and I highly regret it because the one I kept has a slight issue with the log wheel (interruptus). I need another o...

Re: PG-1000 or new PC to run D-50 editor?
At one point I owned a D50 and a PG 1000 and the tactile feel of the sliders controlling the D50 was awesome. I would get the PG 1000 and the value of hardware will always outstrip the value of software. You can always get both or a netbook later and if funds are still tight, resell the PG 1000 later.

Re: Have you ever... thrown away a synth?
How about stuff that becomes truly worthless ? Right now I have a Yamaha QY10 . About 30preset pre-GM sampled sounds wedded to Yamaha's trademark arranger/sequencer (4 backing tracks from patterns, 4 "linear" tracks). It does sequence external MIDI and has a full event editor to tweak with. You can...

Re: jp8080 and keyboard
You should be able to find a heavy duty music stand at most music stores - they're pretty universal. The other advantage, is that should you find another way to do it, more to your liking such as keyboard stands and custom fittings etc, the stand will always be useful for general stuff like notes et...

Re: jp8080 and keyboard
I use a heavy duty music stand tilted at the edge of my keyboard for my groovebox when playing live. That should work for the JP 8080 as well.

To me it sounds like a Nord lead - I heard a similar sounding solo by Wilco, and they were using a Nord.

Re: John Foxx - CR-78, Odyssey
great video, but Benge sounds like a complete tosser. It's Mowg you twat. Steady on, as Foxx said, it's mOOg in this part of the world! That seemed to be the obvious pronunciation back in the day, until the internet eventually set the record straight. However, for me (and plenty of others it would ...

Re: MC 505 VS Electribe
I had the same dilemma back in the day, demoed both (EA w/ ER v/s 505) and chose the MC 505. I found it easier to make up patterns and store them in the 505. There are more sound banks on the 505. I did think that the EA/ER sounded very analoguey and warm which is something I like. The 505 is more '...
