Re: What was the most expensive Synth you ever bought?
My Mini Moog. At $250.00 it is the most expensive synth I have ever bought .... I know that sounds a bit low but I am a bargain hunter and a cheapskate. That's amazing! Well done on all your bargains. Hi! The most expensive synth I ever bought, was my virus indigo2 in 2002 for $3500 after taxes!! I...

What was the most expensive Synth you ever bought?
This thread is inspired by the 'cheapest synth' thread.
Most expensive? For me, it's a MacBeth M5.

I'd like to keep it to single items rather than adding up a bunch of smaller items - but whatever...

Re: MS2000 vs Prophet 08
I hate the MS2000 sound...sounds super thin, cold, digital and lifeless... I love my Tetra...whoever says it doesn't sound good, seriously need to learn some programming tips... I'd say you need to learn some programming tips for the MS2000. Really? Well thank you for being so rude... The basic sou...

Re: Question For Canucks
.... But I would stick with paypal for security reason if I would be the buyer though. It offers an indeniable proof of purchase. Agreed. If anything happens, paypal will protect you. Also, Visa or Master Card are good because if you don't recieve what you paid for, they will reinburse you. I would...

Re: MacBeth M5 Synthesizers
Finally got the Kenton MIDI to CV from California to Nova Scotia and everything works like a charm. The M5 is now warming my heart.
It took less time to get to the main distribution plant from Ca. to NS then it did to travel ten minutes across town to me which took a week.
Any requests?

Re: Dear Synthy Santa
I asked Synthy Santa to please stop people from bumping year-old threads, but I've been naughty this year. I could've started a new thread but wouldn't it have been locked and then a link placed to a previous thread suggesting it's been covered before and to keep it to the old thread? Just kidding....

Re: MacBeth M5 Synthesizers
An update: After wrestling with the Moog Multi Pedal MP 201 set on MIDI to CV for more than two weeks, I decided after talking to Ken MacBeth, to get a Kenton Pro II MIDI to Cv, which is what he uses with a Korg Prophecy and his M5s. The Multi Pedal just didn't work with the M5. It's for sale now lo...

Re: What are you buying yourself for Christmas ?
I bought a Macbeth M5 and a Kenton Pro MIDI to CV, apparently. Still waiting on the Kenton.
On the flip side, I'm selling some stuff for Xmas too.

The short answer: very picky.
I expect as advertised not something else.

Re: No CV/Gate from Kenton Pro 2000mkii Aux ports
I've had a similar problem with a Moog Multi-Pedal MP 201. I can't get the MIDI to CV program/patch to get my analogue to work.
I've ordered a Kenton Pro and selling the MP 201 (unless it can prove its worth).

Re: Please help with Yamaha CS-30!!
Hello and welcome to the board. Are you sure about the make and model number? Does it look like this? http://i56.tinypic.com/344vdbk.jpg If so , you are out of luck (in a way). The Yamaha CS-30 is a monophonic synthesizer - that is, it can play only one note at a time. The good news is that it is s...
