Of course it is - I was hoping that it would sound more like an analogue synth.Joey wrote:of course it sounds digital, its a digital synth

Sounds very digital from the demo, still interesting. Noticed in the specs that under "Environmental requirements", that othe...

I recorded a song in '86 that features 'tubular bells' and a collaborator of Nash the Slash, but it came from a DX21. If I can figure out how to post it for you, I will.

Re: Dear Synthy Santa
Phollop, So you really don’t care what it sounds like as long as it looks like a 2600? Admittedly, the 2600 looks cool and a half size VA 2600 would be cute but you’re really running into “what is the point” territory. ...... Not true, as long as it sounds as 'Arpish" and acts and works (simulated)...

Re: Dear Synthy Santa
You know, I don't think he's serious. ;) Lulz belong in OT, General Synths is Serious Business. Or am I? Think Korg MS 2000R. It was done for less than a grand, wasn't it? It had oodles of knobs etc, why can't something similar be done ARP 2600 style. Ok, I'd pay $1500 if it was really done well. S...

Dear Synthy Santa
Dear Santa I've been a good boy. Please send me a well made, stand alone, (re hardware) Arp 2600 21st century version style synthesizer. It could have an Arturia 2600V sound engine, (save costs etc) but it must have all the knobs and inputs housed in an Arp 2600 casing or shell. It could be scaled d...

Re: I just grabbed a FIZMO!!!
This is the first time I've heard one, and on first impressions, I'm kind of impressed. I'm going to research this synth some more. Thanks for posting.

Re: Psychedelic hardsynth
I got mine with a MOSS board already installed for $800 CDN. I use a Roland MC 505 to partially program it (yes you read that right). Also a Peavey Midi controller does some really interesting stuff to the Karma... I later bought the Vintage sound card for the Karma for $80 CDN. If you take a direct...

Re: Psychedelic hardsynth
Yeap! that's the price I sold it with 2 extra roms. No trance oriented synth there, cheap soundn rompler with a very simple architecture on sound edition, classic average workstation with boring lfos, a 5 effect section that is a pain in the a*s to program on the routing section, 2 "oscillators" or...

Re: Psychedelic hardsynth
In my experience, you can use a Korg Karma in a lot of different ways. It has the slots for extra sound cards including the MOSS option (see Prophecy, Z1). I've used it as a workstation arranger as well as lead, and pad type sounds. If it had a sampler, it would be perfect and these keyboards can be...
