Re: So i've got to sell one of my keyboards, which one?
Probably the DX - they're the easiest to find in case you want to add one back to your rig again. During its absence, you could use any of the newer FM softsynths out there for little to no $$. Besides, it'll be much harder to replicate the warmer aspects of the DW on somthing FM-based - especially...

Re: insane sounding analog instrument
Moog Theremins are usually priced between $200 - $400 used on eBay. You should be able to get one new for around $500...

Re: insane sounding analog instrument
My audience loves the Theremin solos and I can't even play it well, but I can play it expressively...
It's interesting, but ever since I started using it live, the audience seems to pay more attention to the performance.

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
Just sayin'... And what about Mini Coopers and VW Beetles? Do those count? the 'new beetle' is a bad example- is primarily a Beetle-ish body slapped onto a VW Fox chassis.. (ironically, the Fox had been dropped from VW dealers in the states because it wasn't selling enough to be worth their time to...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
..... Can you imagine Ford remaking an old car just because there're a few people who have an oldtimer club? It's not like you click a button, and then a car (based on a PDF) rolls out. Same with synths. ....... Wasn't there a Morgan car kit based on a 1950s roadster version? I used to see those al...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
I thought it was "Et tu Brutus?" Maybe I'm too old school.... in fact it was "tu quoque, brute". the "e" instead of "us" is the imperative in latin. but it is highly likely that he didnt say anything at all after 23 stabs with knifes, as well as that brutus wasnt really his son, if those guys reall...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
It's a sad time when "do your research" means "enter x into a search engine." Et tu, Brute? And it works....: "Et tu, Brute?" is a Latin phrase often used poetically to represent the last words of Roman dictator Julius Caesar. Immortalized by Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, the quotation is widely use...

Re: what is the best synthesizer from the 2000's (2000-2010) ?
My thought of the moment: "If you can master everything and anything to do with a Moog Theremin, you can master everything and anything." It's a great inexpensive way to get into analogue synthesis. Without that little invention in 1919, known as a Theremin, we wouldn't have a Moog Voyager and proba...

Re: Did I make a nice trade? Karma/Moss for Ax-60 and D-50
Thanks for your support Balma! Peace of mind it is! Haha I agree with you programming the Karma takes way too much time for my taste as well. The KARMA arp is really cool for demos and just f?%ing around, but for serious stuff, I never found a way to make use of it. I don't find the sound that chee...
