Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..? with p**n images
Big thanks for the schematics on the Formant! But yes I do see from the photos the old LM741's. And an old can package crammed into a dip-8 socket - that's a lot of fun. So, I'd love to hear that Elektor filter do it's thing when it gets up and running again. YW. Elektor is always very instructiona...

Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..? with p**n images
The silkscreen style smacks of an Elektor VCO board I spotted on matrixsynth . I couldn't find any VCF pics. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_rScBRKlTdoE/StuOSdCq8UI/AAAAAAAAi6M/n8UmiKhzh_c/s400/%21Bc9FZZ%21%21mk%7E%24%28KGrHqEH-CMEqu%28SITCzBK2z1lwPTQ%7E%7E_12.JPG Your photos also reminds me of my circui...

Re: PCB repair
@EdGs thanks for reminding me of magnet wire. I´ve been using teflon cat5 and wirewrap for jumpers. Solderable magnet wire has to be more practical. So I guess "neatly done" as Rhino said is mandatory. If nothing beats wire jumpers I just have to make it look professional enough for the "under the h...

Re: PCB repair
Rhino, what inks did you try? I once bought a small bottle of "silver ink" from some Ebay dealer. It was rubbish; I´m still hoping the conductive pen from CircuitWorks to work as expected...

The rivets are a good idea! Thanks.

PCB repair
So the power supply of my Moog Rogue got well damaged since the last recap. Some pads went with the solder into the desoldering pump. The machine is fully working now, but it´s a mess, not something I´d want to show to prospective buyers. So much I´m considering etching a new pcb. How do you techs r...

Re: Moog Taurus 2 / Rogue
Thanks a lot for the info. The Taurus with some connector leads set up for CV control so I should just have to plug the CV and Gate outs of my controller into the jacks of the connector leads. Yes, but you´ll have to use stereo plugs for the Taurus. On the Roland SH-101 end the connections are stan...

Re: Korg Lambda chorus/phase trouble
Sorry, I´ve never played a Lambda, so I don´t "see" much of what you´re describing. If it´s not a retriggering problem, maybe it´s the unit that has single-triggering? If it´s the case it´s a good feature. The user manual must say something about it.

Re: MF-101 input impedance
I´d call or send an email. I read on another forum the info on how to mod the MF-101 for CV IN taught by Dr Moog himself. Maybe the company has kept the same philosophy?

Re: Moog Taurus 2 / Rogue
I could even sequence it from my SH-101 or CSQ-600 correct? If the Taurus II brain is like a Rogue without a keyboard, that´s correct. It has connections for V-Trig and 1V/Oct CV starting at the F note. Is there anything I should look out for when checking it out? Yes, the connections at the back u...

Re: Korg Lambda chorus/phase trouble
A common fault in vintage equipment is dry solder joints
A quick reflow will fix it. Also check the wiring around R109 (the dual pot for the ensemble section). And don´t forget the replacements for IC 7 & 8 (CD4013 & CD4069), and sockets. Those are cheap and easy to find.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: MF-101 input impedance
The only problem I see is the usual limited number of effect sends in a mixer. Mine has only two busses so that´s why I use the attenuator. The 22k/1k divider cuts the signal by 22, which seems apropriate for most commercial synth outputs to go down to guitar pickup levels, which the stomp box handl...

Re: Korg Lambda chorus/phase trouble
That´s too bad, but don´t give up so soon. The more hypothesis you eliminate the closer you get to the solution. Have you learned how to use a DMM? Rhino, what if there´s not enough voltage/current reaching Q7 for it to fully open? That would explain the faint output. Aren´t CMOS chips known to part...

Re: Filter resonance visualization
The others should look somewhat bizarre in comparision, unless they clip at full volume. Look at the pulse from Waldorf's digital oscs here http://www.see.ed.ac.uk/~ctr/qwaves/index.html (choose "Analogue models") Thanks. Those square waves modeled after analogue ones look anything but square, don´...
