Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

Sweetwater said their first batch has been shipped out to customers and the 2nd batch is going out over this next upcoming week to week and a half. If any of you ordered through them and want a gauge of where you might be in line - I'm in the 2nd batch and I placed my order Feburary 2nd.

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

no we haven't.. a tentative May release date, that was never officially announced outside of "late spring/early summer" by Korg and their reps.. pushing into June, is no crazy delay...if a delay at all.

..but, im as impatient as the rest and want this yesterday !

Re: Most abused synths/tones

Sine and Triangle waveforms. Saws are seriously way over-hyped too.. and anything but a bandpassed Square is just..ugh.. so passe'.

Has seriously no one mentioned the dubstep 'wobble' that was already tired before it went brostream?

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

only thing i'd be interested to see outta roland is a mini system 100, complete with tiny little add on modules...seq, expander, mixer, speakers (sic). They could make all kinds of money selling the 101 synth but supplementing it with cool new modules. I think it'd be ingenious.. and its always been...

Re: What is fm synthesis like on other synths (non yamaha dx

Programming a CZ synth compared to programming *ANY* FM synth, esp. DX's (except maybe the dx200), is 100% pure cake walk. Casio's approach was much more intuitive but still suffered from the same "all buttons but at least no membranes!" approach at the time.

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

What kind of impact does it have on the filter/amp cv? Does it really matter? My FutureRetro Mobius has MIDI In to V/OCT and HZ/V out convertors, which is convenient.. at least for doubling the voices/slaving. I've seen a lot of convertors out there, from HarvestMan's English Tear module that appear...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

While we're waiting... someone mind going into the MS-20's CV in detail for us less cv experienced?

Going with some recent contemporaries for example... like the Minibrute or Dark Energy. What would it take to connect these things up correctly? I understand they use different CV specs..

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

Full on Analogue sweetness @ amazing prices.

I feel kind of lucky that these were announced after the ms20mini, as I'm still anxiously awaiting that and by the time I settle in with it and start to relax, these puppies will be soon hitting the shelves.^_^

The Six-Trak, although that is mainly due to the buttons that needs the membrane regularly replaced, and the fantastic, but quirky sequencer

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

what I picked up from that video - he is very interested in bringing the SQ-10 back as it is very different from modern sequencing and he'd like to introduce it to the new generation of users.

!! sweet.

Re: KORG M01D for nintendo 3DS downloads

it'll be like 15-20 bucks, and for sale directly from the console via the Nintendo shop. I'm guessing @ that price, since that seems to be the 'high end' price range in the shop... could be cheaper, could be more.

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

The drum machine is actually four part analog, then the rest are PCM samples. On Korg's website it lists "analog synthesis" as the synthesizer type for the bass and lead model. It also lists a VCO. So does that mean these things are actually true analog machines for $150? Not a deal-breaker, just c...
