Thanks rjd2 and th0mas... I will open it up and take a look. I've managed to take care of all of my computer components w/o having to rely on anyone (thanks to blogs though), so there is some hope. I am patient and realistic. I am not an impulsive person unless on the rag.

I've had a Roland JV-80 keyboard for 15 years. One of the keys will not play now. The shop nearest me wants to charge $200 for this repair.
