check for bad solder joints, loose connectors etc first. there is like 50 volts powering the display. if the driver chips have an intermittant ground, that might cause that problem. music works best when you express YOURSELF.... not follow ancient traditions and 'methods' that others say are the 'correct' way to make music.

note the family resemblance around the 'eyes'. also both tend to exhibit random un-programmed behaviour at times.

the problem - as i see it - is the un-natural-ness of precision. here're some things i've found: 1. slight random detune of the layers 2. random ,short delay between layers 3. mod of this delay by velocity 4. rather large mods of VCF with velocity 5. vibrato to aftertouch 6. foot pedal or breath con...

have a peavey DPM-4 with 1.01 eproms. ordered a pair of 1.056 eproms from peavey. when installed, the unit is dead. no display, no sound, no button response. putting the old eproms back in restores operation. called peavey and was told to send them back for "checking".... but guy didn't seem too up ...

after a dress rehersal for a theater gig, i took my keyboards home, but left my two 15" speaker cabinets at the venue, chained to a stair rail backstage. lost the key. had to unscrew the handles.
