UK members help (power supply)
i want to sell my AZ-1 to a member in the UK. Anyone there steer him to a source for 9-volt DC adaptor with a NEGATIVE CENTER (standard 5.5mm male plug) about 500-800 mA. ?

tried playing with a local 'Hillbilly Gosple' group. they liked my acoustic 'pi-anner' style, but when we did a mournful number about 'daddy a-layin' in the grave' or such, i leaned over and pulled up a soft string pad on my SQ-80.

check for bad solder joints, loose connectors etc first. there is like 50 volts powering the display. if the driver chips have an intermittant ground, that might cause that problem. (the voltage might leak thru enough to light up segments that should stay dark. you said you can still faintly see the...

note the family resemblance around the 'eyes'. also both tend to exhibit random un-programmed behaviour at times.

the problem - as i see it - is the un-natural-ness of precision. here're some things i've found: 1. slight random detune of the layers 2. random ,short delay between layers 3. mod of this delay by velocity 4. rather large mods of VCF with velocity 5. vibrato to aftertouch 6. foot pedal or breath con...

peavey DPM-4 eprom upgrade help
have a peavey DPM-4 with 1.01 eproms. ordered a pair of 1.056 eproms from peavey. when installed, the unit is dead. no display, no sound, no button response. putting the old eproms back in restores operation. called peavey and was told to send them back for "checking".... but guy didn't seem too up ...

after a dress rehersal for a theater gig, i took my keyboards home, but left my two 15" speaker cabinets at the venue, chained to a stair rail backstage. lost the key. had to unscrew the handles.
